📣𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱📣

🏃🏊🚴Due to on-going repairs to a burst water main, the closure of Coronation Drive from Newburn Bridge to Warrior Drive at Seaton Carew for the duration of Hartlepool’s Big Lime Triathlon on 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁) is to be extended to the junction with Station Lane. The closure will be in force from 𝟳𝗮𝗺-𝟭𝟬.𝟯𝟬𝗮𝗺. Signed diversions will be in place and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
A series of other road closures required for the event remain unchanged.
⭐The section of Maritime Avenue from the roundabout outside the National Museum of the Royal Navy to Victoria Terrace will be closed to traffic from 6am-1pm so that competitors can safely transition between the three triathlon disciplines.
⭐There will be no vehicle access to Maritime Avenue properties beyond Victoria Terrace between 7am and 10.30am to ensure that the road is closed and safe for the cycling element.
⭐A section of promenade from Hartlepool Marina to Newburn Bridge will be shut from 7am to 10.30am.

🏊🚴🏃 If you haven’t yet signed up for Hartlepool's Big Lime Triathlon you’ll need to act quickly as entries close at midnight on Tuesday 6th August.
We're also keen for people to get involved as volunteer marshals to help ensure the smooth running of the event.

This year - for the first time – a standard distance triathlon is taking place alongside the usual sprint triathlon, and there will be three separate open water swims of varying distances.
We're also reminding residents that there will be some road and promenade closures on the day.
