It is with immense regret that our BYU on Saturday 19th August will be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. All refunds will be issued by the booking agent (please apply). Hopefully we will be back in 2024.

If you're not going to Kent for the National Trophy this weekend, why not join us on Sunday at Chillington Hall, Brewood, near Wolverhampton for Round 13 of the West Midlands Cyclo-Cross League (WMCCL). All are welcome and you can enter on the day.

10:00 - Under 6 and Under 8 Boys and Girls - 10 minute race
10:20 - Under 10 Boys and Girls - 10 to 15 minute race
10:45 - Under 12 Boys and Girls - 15 to 20 minute race
11:10-11:30 - Course Practice and U-12 Presentations
11:30 - Youth (U-14 and U16) Boys and Girls - 30 minute race
12:15 - Veteran 50+ Men - 40 minute race
13:05-13:35 - Course Practice
13:35 - Junior, Senior and Veteran Women - 40 minute race
14:30 - Junior, Senior and Veteran 40+ Men - 50 minute race.

For those riders not already registered with the WMCCL, the on-the-day entry fees are:
U8-U12: £7
U14-U16: £15
Junior: £20
Senior: £25
You'll need to add £3 to these fees if you don't have a BC Race license and your are in an over 16 age category.

There's a £3 parking charge - for which you'll need cash.

We were out in the pouring rain this morning helping set up the January 8th Chillington Challenge CycloX course. Lots to be done but thanks to Chillington time to do it!

Run and Ride Milford me Stafford. The worst possible way to start the day 😡

Theives broke in at 2.30am this morning taking 5 very distinctive bikes.

We have to thank our neighbours who alerted the police to the vehicle and the direction in which they left.

The Police managed to track the vehicle near Cannock. We have reports of a car chase, Police car being rammed and then the thieves driving down the M6 the wrong way. Investigation continues

1 bikes was dropped during the get-away (we’re not sure which yet) We think it’s likely they’ll want to move the other 4 bikes ASAP.

Those bikes are:

Whyte T-160 S XL
Cannondale Synapse 105 Purple Haze 58cm
Merida Reacto 5000 Black/Red Large
Merida Scultura 9000 Gold Large
Merida One-Sixty 6000 Mid Black





The last 2 bikes on the list are very hard to come by given there’s only a handful ever brought into the county.

April 30th, May 14th, June 4th, July 30th.
April 30th and July 30th at Chillington Hall, Brewood, Wolverhampton. Other venues released soon

Massive well done to the everyone involved in Gator Medical. One possibly two venues secured for their First Aid training and workshops. Shot Stopping Lifesavers being rolled out in the south of Staffordshire and another sporting lifesavers programme being worked on.

So, here is the route map for The Chillington 12hr BYU race. As you can see the red sections are the uphill, the green the downhill and the yellow is flat so nothing to really worry about there. It will be divided into 4 sections.
1 - The field,(which is exactly what it says, but clearly marked with rope).
2 - The Canal, a track/gravel type surface leading to a road type surface underfoot but nothing to worry about regards to grip. All leading to...
3 - The Finger, an out and back finger that takes you away from the Hall but back towards it once you turn. A Grassy train type surface awaits on the finger.
4 - The Home Stretch - This is majority of tarmac with a slight trail aspect as you approach the finish.
The sections are not the same in length but will certainly give you something to push towards as you move from one to the next.
