Props Props Away

Ever had a life changing moment? Well, at the age of forty I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. When something like that happens in your life it makes you really question what you want and where are you going. Up until that point, I had been a special needs teacher which I loved. However, I couldn’t just do the job and go home…I lived and breathed those kids to the point where it took over my life. I knew that change needed to come. I had a photo booth at my fortieth birthday party and loved it. I couldn’t help but think at the time that I would do it differently. My sister then decided she wanted one at her wedding in France but could not get one. So, there it started! Since then, Prop Till You Drop has evolved. I wanted an open set approach, something a bit different and more upmarket, so that’s what I created. There is an Edwardian dressing table that actors and actresses would sit in front of before going on stage and practice their lines and poses before the curtains went up and a luxurious chaise longue in crushed silver velvet. With a vast range of hats, wigs and props you can be whichever character you wish to be: Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Watson, Tonto or the Lone Ranger. Even the Little Mermaid, Amy Winehouse or Princess Leia could make an entrance. The possibilities are endless and the amount of fun you and your guests could have would be of epic proportions. I know without question that I made the right decision, so now it’s your turn: To Prop or not to Prop that is the question?
