We wouldnt want you to get stuck behind a lorry or a few thousand people trying to get into the park!

🚗 Park Uptown to Avoid a Frown! ☹️

If you're driving to the Stonehaven Fireworks on Sunday, please park uptown of the centre at a public car park — it's just a short walk to the action, and you'll avoid long queues when leaving. Consider using one of the alternative routes out of town too.

Thinking of parking at the beach? You might struggle to find a space, and you'll definitely queue at the lights on your way out. Plus, we've got cones and no-waiting zones in place to keep traffic flowing.

Street parking tips:
- Don’t block driveways, crossings, or junctions.
- Dangerous parking and driving will be reported to police.

Our marshals are here to help. They’re dotted around town and car parks — if they offer advice, please take it. It’s all about keeping things safe and smooth for everyone.

We are still looking for volunteers to help out with our Fireworks event on 2nd Nov; we have more slots to fill!

🎇A donation will be made to the charity or community group represented by each volunteer on a per head basis!🎆

If you’d like to sign up as a volunteer, please find the sign-up form attached! Please let us know when charity/group you are volunteering on behalf of when you sign up.

Many groups are already involved and we are very appreciative for the support - without it events like these cannot go ahead!

Less than 2 weeks until the fireworks display 🎆 and bonfire🔥in Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven!

Our aim is to create one large, safe display for the town and surrounding areas. Our event last year was a huge success, and we are very much looking forward to bringing another fantastic display for Stonehaven this year! 🎆🎇

We are aware that fireworks can be distressing for pets, and so we would kindly urge all pet owners to keep their pets indoors during the evening. The fireworks are expected to commence at 7pm and last for 20mins.

❗️NO Sparklers❗️

This is a 100% local volunteer run fundraising event. We raise much needed funds for local charities and non-profit community causes in Stonehaven and South Aberdeenshire.

🔥Gates open from 5:30pm (catering, funfair and stalls will all be open)
🔥Fireworks set off at 7pm (pet owners: we expect the fireworks to finish at ~7:20pm)
🔥Check out our maps showing all the entrance points and facilities, best driving routes and car parks.
🔥Wheelchair accessibility to the park is as normal. Entry via the main road into Mineralwell Park is easiest and then follow the path around the inside of the park.

⚠️Take care on the site as some areas of ground are uneven/slippy.
⚠️The park is usually pretty wet at this time of year: wellies recommended!
⚠️Please don't enter from the railway viaduct paths as these will be unlit: go to the Baird Terrace entrance.
⚠️The entrance from the Glebe is closed.

Info for DRIVERS… read on…
🚌Traffic is usually very heavy for the event – buses and trains are running. Bus stops are right next to the park and train station is only 10mins walk away. A great way to avoid sitting in traffic! Folk from Stonehaven – please walk if you can!
🚗Traffic is heaviest at finish time. Don’t all rush out of the park at once, you will probably get stuck in a queue! Chill out, watch the bonfire or go to the funfair for a bit.
🚗When leaving town there is usually a queue up to the traffic light at the AWPR – sorry we didn’t put it there! Please consider alternative routes out of town – they all get you to the dual carriageway – see our helpful map.
🚗All council car parks are FREE and available at Market Square, Mackie Academy, Viewmount, Railway Station, Leisure Centre & Community Education Centre. There is general street parking available but PLEASE park considerately (and legally). Stonehaven is a small place – you can walk across it pretty quickly – why not park further away, have a leisurely wander down to Mineralwell and skip some of the traffic.
🚗Belmont Brae will be closed to vehicles 5pm-8pm to allow pedestrians to use it safely.
🚗Mineralwell View and Cowie village will be closed for fireworks visitor parking to maintain emergency vehicle access.

🏺Our October social event was held today, we had a brilliant evening at Aberdeen Ceramics Class! 🏺

Our pottery class kicked off by doing the ‘technical challenge’, where we spent an hour making a piece in the shape of a cylinder following a demo, before making each of our own unique pieces! 🫖

Finally, our pieces were judged by the staff, with Jonny winning first place 🥇Matthew 2nd place,🥈, and Matt 3rd 🥉. Congrats! 🎉

It was also great to have two new guys along, we hope they enjoyed it! 😀

**Table Meeting – Thursday 9th October 7pm Stonehaven**

We’re calling this a planning meeting but it’s much more than that.

Yes, we’ll come together to make plans for our monthly socials and community events. We’ll volunteer for actions and make commitments that shape the future of our table. These meetings happen a few times a year and they’re vital for keeping things moving.

But really, it’s another chance to connect and socialise with guys like you. To share food, have a laugh, and recognise the difference we are making as a group. It’s all about looking ahead together.

We’re focused on welcoming new members, creating fun activities, and making sure the table offers a break from the stress and seriousness of everyday life.

**No dress code. No entry criteria.**
Wear a business suit, a swim suit, a morph suit—or just jeans and a polo like the rest of us 🤣

We promise that you won’t leave with a long to-do list of tasks but you will leave with a clear sense of our purpose and how we operate.

What does the “Stonehaven Round Table” do?

We:
- organise great monthly social events
- organise the best firework displays
- help support local groups AND
- we fundraise for our community

Recently our members awarded the Laurencekirk Pre-School Group with £500 to continue with their great work creating a nurturing environment for 2-5 year olds.
We have 4 funding rounds a year whereby groups in the Mearns area are welcome to apply for funding to support their respective group. Keep an eye out on our page for the next fundraising round.
