I love creating colour palettes and seeing them come to life. This gorgeous couple (seriously the nicest) wanted soft sunset colours with some bright pops. Colours to evoke Italy in summer but with classic English spring blooms.
Dreamy and romantic set up freelancing for Hannah @deerandbee for the wedding of Jo and David at Caer Llan . Essentials to achieve this;

Natural funeral flowers
In my mind seasonal flowers that are a little wild, unstructured and deeply personal are the absolute perfect way to pay tribute to a loved one on their final journey.
Farewell flowers are something I’ve become really interested with as so often they can express our feelings when words are too clumsy or difficult to find.
I’ll be sharing what I’m making on here and over on my website.
This is a tied funeral sheaf, using assorted foliage and seasonal flowers (tulips, daffs, ranunculus and anemones) The tapered shape is built using different lengths of material with woody stems giving the arrangement structure. Designed to decorate the top of a coffin or lie on a grave. It could also be divided up with flowers given to family members or to be kept to decorate the wake or the home for a few days after saying goodbye.

Cutting Garden Jobs - Sweet Peas
This is my first year growing sweet peas, or I suppose honestly it’s year number 2 but last years seedlings ended up on the compost heap before spring so I’m not counting them!
I’m only growing a few as I’m really just growing them with one summer wedding in mind, although I’m hoping to be able to cut lots for the house.
My main problem has been slug damage, so I’ll be patrolling nightly to do away with any offenders. I’ve also had some success with woollen slug pellets that they don’t like to slither across.
I’d love to hear if you’re growing sweet peas and if you have any tips for their success!

Flowerfarmerama Prompt #9. Who keeps you company while you’re working?
I grow my cut flowers in my garden, we have a new build property, and with housing taking over natural habitats I really feel passionately about having a garden that supports wildlife. The Wildlife Trust estimates that there are roughly 24million gardens in the UK and the way they are cared for can make a huge impact on our wildlife. I certainly feel a personal responsibility to do my bit, but in addition seeing nature at work is also really good for mental health.
I grow in a very natural way without using harmful chemicals, I rely on encouraging beneficial insects to deal with pests like greenfly and slugs. Growing a variety of nectar rich flowers gives bees and butterflies the range of nectar they need.
We now have a range of birds, bees, butterflies, insects and frogs visiting the garden and they all keep me company whilst I work outside.
