Business Manager – Adventure Island/Pursuit Hebrides
Job description
A unique position has arisen for a Manager covering Adventure Island and Pursuit Hebrides, based in Adventure Island in Stornoway. This will suit a creative and driven individual with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Duties will include the following:
• Day to day running of the Soft Play facility, including Café and Kiosk.
• Administration for facility and outside events
• Staff Recruitment, Management and Training
• Social Media and Advertising
• Creation of new and exciting activities and events.
• Basic Book Keeping and filing
• Occasional kitchen cover
• Enquiries and Bookings through phone, email and social media.
• Planning and delivery of both existing and new parties, events and activities. Both in Adventure Island and the Local Communities.
• Tasked with increasing foot traffic, bookings and use of the facility/Events Company
• Directly working with young people and adults.
• Stock ordering and rotation.
• Tills, cash handling and invoicing.
• Adhering to and updating legal requirements, safety procedures, first aid, Insurances and child protection.
• Any other administration duties as required
Essential skills for the role:
• Excellent Customer Service
• Strong Administrative, Organisational and Time Management Skills
• Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Social Media
• Outgoing, Friendly manner and an excellent communicator.
• Creative, enthusiastic and driven.
• Ability to adapt to and drive forward a diverse and evolving business.
Job Type: Full-time – 40 hours per week - Immediate start available.
Pay: £25,000 - £32,000 per year – Based on experience.

Experience: Related experience will be an advantage, but as this is a unique and diverse role, training will be provided in any areas required for the successful candidate.
