Green Earthlings Weddings, in collaboration with the venue, planned the following for the day:

- Showcasing some fantastic local, sustainable and ethical wedding businesses which will be offering some great deals
- Eco goodie bags for the first 20 brides / grooms through the door
- Raffle with amazing eco prizes + vouchers (DON'T FORGET TO BRING CASH)

Exciting news alert! 🌟

I am thrilled to announce my new title as a sustainable celebrations columnist! 🌿🎉 Starting out with the Worcester News has been an incredible journey, and I couldn't be more grateful for the support from James Reece.

Stepping into this role was a leap of faith for me. I may not be the most experienced writer or a sustainability expert, but my passion and courage drove me to take on this challenge. 💪
Now, 18 months later, I am beyond proud of the progress I've made and the platform I've built for my voice. 📰✨

It's important to acknowledge our achievements and give ourselves credit. When was the last time you pushed your boundaries and celebrated your own successes? 🌿💭

WEDDING SUPPLIERS ARE MISLEADING YOU!!

Greenwashing in the wedding industry, just like in other industries, is a significant concern. Are you tired of wedding suppliers misleading you with false sustainability claims? It can be challenging to find genuine sustainable wedding suppliers in a market saturated with misleading information.

To avoid being greenwashed by your wedding supplier, here are some key steps to follow:

**RESEARCH**
Ensure to research the suppliers thoroughly. Look for their sustainability policies prominently displayed on their website.

**ASK**

Whoop, whoop, it's my birthday today! 🎂

And I am so excited that it seems I have gone a little bonkers.....
I decided to plan a super lucky person's wedding for totally FREE!
Yep, that's right, that person will not have to pay a single penny for my wedding planning services!!

But there are some rules.....
1. The first person who emails me at [email protected] with the words" Birthday Giveaway" in the subject line, will win the prize.
2. That person has to be engaged to be married with the wedding is being planned to take place in the next 2 years.
3. It will have to be a sustainable wedding or at least to have as many sustainable elements as possible.
4. The winner will be responsible for paying my expenses only (travel, accommodation etc if appropriate).

That's all!
And what's on me?? I will guide you through the planning process, I will give you hints and tips, help you with budgeting and with the all important and sometimes confusing wedding etiquette! I will recommend my trusted suppliers and I will pass on any discounts that I may get, to you. I will be on hand throughout the whole process and I will coordinate all the suppliers on the day so all you have to concentrate on, is to have the most amazing day with your loved ones.

But remember, you will be in charge throughout the whole process and you will make all the decisions. I will be there to do all the legwork for you.

Wow, what a crazy, lovely, whirlwind summer it's been!
Leaving the corporate world in June to focus solely on sustainable weddings, was a leap of faith, but one I am proud of. Fast forward to September 10th, on the eve of my birthday, and I couldn't be prouder of the journey. It hasn't been easy; I lost clients who didn't share my vision and passion, but I stayed true to my purpose. I also lost some suppliers.

Despite some challenges, the summer brought incredible achievements. Connecting with some truly amazing eco suppliers and venues both in the UK and abroad has been inspiring. I can't wait to share some amazing news with you all soon.

I am incredibly proud that Green Earthlings Weddings is now a recognizable name for sustainable weddings in the Midlands and beyond.

As the leaves turn orange, I reflect with gratitude on the summer's experiences. The future looks bright, and I am eager to see what lies ahead.

I say they can! In fact, I believe they go together perfectly.
Just imagine the most wonderful wedding day that is filled with so much love for each other, for your guests as well as for the planet.
A day filled with love for everything and everybody. Just magical!
