Fabletown, who played the main stage at Stowed Out in 2022, just announced their new album!

We're all very excited for it here at Stowed Out HQ.

This is a very talented band with story-telling lyrics, sophisticated americana and featuring Stow's very own Hein Kok on guitar!

Check it out at the usual outlets!

What a real treat that was at Friday night's Station House sessions! Massive thanks are due to our four acts on Friday: EightDays Scotland, Alan Henderson, Paul Conkie and 3 Out Of 4, all of whom were brilliant.

EightDays, an up and coming Peebles band who are beginning to make waves, have their current releases available on Spotify to listen too - link below. As well as being wowed by the band's original songs we loved their Interpol, Radiohead and Placebo covers which lets you know the kind of vibe they have. https://open.spotify.com/artist/65aYMcRMq4nQeTKQfQQn4N?si=rEn7O6qbTvGTaNY5JtCIQQ

Stow's Alan Henderson showcased his songwriting talent drawing on observation and social commentary to beguile the audience. In the tradition of an oral storyteller documenting his times he had a song about the Station House itself inspired from attending an earlier gig! Alan gets some bonus points for throwing a bit of Neil Young into the mix as well.

Paul Conkie was also in stortytelling mode with his intricately performed blues numbers and amazing guitar tones. I loved that sound. Did anyone get what the name of the song where the verses ended in the phrased 'blue collar' - I'm trying to track that tune down.

Stowed Out festival favorites 3 Out Of 4 will be supporting Wrest
for a date on their upcoming tour - so that's a gig to watch out for. They played a barnstorming acoustic set for us on Friday - you can take the electricity out of the instruments but not out of the performers. More bonus points for ending on a classic Green Day's Time of Your Life.

Hopefully be seeing you at the next Station House Sessions! Stay Tuned!

Put the Friday 8th September in your diary as it's time for another relaxed evening listening to great music at the Station House in Stow.

We're really excited to be able to bring you another eclectic line up of local acts which only goes to show the deep seam of musical talent we have on our doorstep.

Come along, listen, dance even (there were a few folk on their feet at June's event!) or just chill and appreciate the sounds.

If you want to play at one of the sessions, we'd love to hear from you.

Friday night's Stationhouse sessions was such an awesome night of live music. Many thanks to everyone who came along and especially all of the performers - Ian Mac, Cameron and Amber (who were christened 'Camber' on the night), Joe Robson, Phil Murray and Micheal Haywood (possibly the Joe Robson Trio), and the brilliant Dylan from the band Patersun giving is a rousing finale.

Next one will be in May - date TBC - look out for updates here - get in touch if you would like to play.
