A Public House
The Walnut is situated close to the Rec and not far from Asda & the town centre. We’re a traditional Pub, serving Cask Ales and Craft Beers, Wines and Spirits along with soft drinks and plenty of snacks.
Helen and Ivan have been here a year now and love how the place is growing in with the community. We host regular Monday Night Pub Quizzes, Thursday nights bring you Book Club, Bottle Share or Bring Your Own Vinyl. On Thursdays between 1 and 3pm you can join us for a sandwich and a tea/coffee as part of Suffolk’s Meet Up Mondays (but on a Thursday) Network and there’s plenty more to come.
If you want to use the back bar for an event or club, let us know and let’s see what we can do, we already have a couple of bands who practise in there, a folk afternoon & pop up restaurants, it’s a versatile space, soon to have a courtyard garden. 🤞
The Walnut is a proper public house, everyone is welcome. You can hear each other chat as there isn’t a jukebox, TV or fruit machine here. Just glorious drinks, good times and great people.
