Wow that’s a week since this year’s SRD24! We would like to thank everyone that atteneded, helped out & donated to this fab day.
To our sponsors Epic Candy and roasted, without your generosity the day wouldn’t have been as fabulous as it was.
Last shout out goes to The Strathaven Business Association, without them & the Reindeer Committee members there would be no Reindeer Day.
Volunteering can be hard work , working the ‘day job’ and planning your volunteering duties in the evening and weekends. We do it because we love our little Town and all it has to offer.

Thanks goes to Avondale Radio for attending our event on Sunday. You kept the beat alive in the Allison Green. At one point we were sure the reindeers were prancing along to a festive tune. ☺️

We would like to thank another local business for the support they gave us on Strathaven Reindeer Day 2024. Grace & team at Sorbie Hayes in the green allowed us to take over the salon and create a fantastic Santa’s grotto. We appreciate all you done to accommodate us. Truly magical 🪄✨🎅🏻🎄🫶🏻

We were approached by a couple of local businesses after the event to say they had a ‘bumper day’ and wanted to donate something to keep this event alive and we were blown away!

Village Music thank you for all your help in making this year’s event fabulous. Jamie is a true professional and we thought the sound coming from the band area in the Common Green was amazing. Also a big shout out to Debbie at Glamour Beauty Salon for allowing us to use her electricity 🙏🏼

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Strathaven Reindeer Committee would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the Strathaven Army Cadets for building/dismantling market stalls, litter picking, traffic management, coin collecting and crowd control during Sunday’s event. A truly amazing bunch of people led by fantastic leaders.🫶🏻
One lucky member of the team even had time to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas before heading back to help out. 🤭⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not long now until the big day. Why don’t you go and see Santa in his horse and cart at 11:45pm leaving Sainsbury’s car park. Once he leaves there he will be heading down Ryeland Street onto Townhead Street before arriving in the Common Green at 12noon. #strathavenreindeerday #excited
