Last Saturday we had a wonderful evening celebrating the Bard’s birthday.
There was whisky, poetry, bagpipes, delicious food and great music.
Burns suppers don’t happen just once a year at Candacraig and we are lucky to be surrounded by such talented performers who help us entertain our guests and champion Scottish traditions.

Although it has only been given holiday status in recent years, it is believed that the festival originated during the reign of Malcolm III (1058 - 1093).
The Scottish Government has flag-flying regulations (we love this) which states that on Saint Andrew's Day the Saint Andrew's Cross (also known as the Saltire) shall fly on all of its buildings which have a flag pole.

Last night across the country, bagpipers united to send a huge thank you to our wonderful key workers out there on the front lines.
