TODAY’S THE DAY! Over 30 exhibitors showcasing what they’ve got on offer for all your special events.

We’ve had a sneak peak of a couple vendors new items they’ve added to their offering which look amazing! Definately worth coming along to have a look at!

What you need to know:

🆓 FREE Admission

🎟️ The RAFFLE is cash only, and you can win multiple prizes to spend with one or more vendors of your choice. Who would you chose?

☕️🧁 The CAFE will have lots of goodies on offer - soup, mince rolls, tea/coffee and fancies (LOTS of fancies!). Cash or card payments.

💰 All proceeds for the day is going to the Orkney Drugs Dog charity 🐶

Due to other commitments this weekend we won't have a table at the Wedding Exhibition. We still have a few dates available for decorating in 2024, and we're happy to help with any wedding planning or on the day of the wedding so the bridal party can have a stress free time.

We've had lots of laughs and so much fun setting up wedding venues. A few stressful times too but we still managed to have a laugh. Lovely memories of a very special person. I'm going to miss you so much 💔x

Congratulations to Stewart and Dana who celebrated their wedding recently with a reception in the Harray Hall. Here are a couple of photos of the hall when it was decorated, along with some of their lovely wedding photos taken by Fiona Scott Photography at Stoneworks Orkney. The beautiful stonework by John Hamilton is the perfect setting for wedding photographs and he is happy to take bookings in return for a donation to charity.

It makes a nice change from weddings to decorate the venue and set up for corporate events. I really enjoyed making the stationery and table decorations for the Heriot-Watt Bicentenary, and the Hotspurs Football Club Centenary Dinner Dance.

Annabel's Bridal and Occasion Wear has moved into new premises in Bridge Street so I popped in for a visit today. Everything you need for your wedding in one shop! Some lovely Prom dresses too.

The Standing Stones Hotel was the perfect venue for Luke and Lorna's wedding reception. They asked for the tables to be decorated with autumn colours and it looked lovely. Congratulations to them both for a long and happy life together.

We've decorated the Albert Hotel a few times since the numbers for weddings were increased. It's a lovely venue for a smaller wedding and the staff are all very helpful.

January has been a very busy month of meetings so it looks like wedding planning is back to normal! Fingers crossed there will be no more Covid restrictions to deal with. This year we have lots of bookings for the Harray and Tankerness halls so I've added a few photos from two of the weddings that went ahead as planned in 2021.

With the announcement by the first minister today that Orkney will go into Level 1 from Monday (17 May), ‘life events’ including weddings will be able to host 100 people with alcohol permitted. I’m sure this will be welcome news to many of you ❤️
