Nice story I just recalled; I was invited by big Dj, Skrillex's crew over to LA to be the secret, surprise compere/ intro host at a deserted cinema in downtown LA dressed as The White Rabbit… What an adventure… Great story… After the event, involving all sorts of major shenanigans, acts, live bands and an interview with the band Toto on stage.....I was skateboarding down the main drag dressed as a rabbit and the police stopped me, but all they wanted was a photograph for their wives! I asked them if they have never seen a skateboarding rabbit before? After all this is Hollywood, right? They said…"Never!" Then I went to the after-party in a deserted bank where a massive black dude was playing a Steinway black Grand Piano… After availing myself thoroughly of the free bar, Sonny and his crew gave me their Uber Account code so that I could get back to his place/headquarters where there were several lovely ensuite rooms one of which had my name on the door. Whilst in the cab the $500 cash which was in an envelope stuffed , underneath my foot in my trainer (I have no pockets in the White Rabbit suit)---with "Thanks and love from Skrillex" Scrawled on the front--- fell out of my shoe onto the cab floor… You can imagine the s**t storm next day when I had to try and get home on a plane with no money et cetera. Anyway when I got home a couple of weeks passed and I had a call from Skrillex's crew saying "hey you won't believe this but and we have an uber driver who just turned up with your envelope full of $500! A few days later Uber California HQ rang me up to ask me about the story and if I would put the driver forward for "Uber Driver Of The Year, California" At the awards ceremony the very kind man picked up the top prize or $1000!… H.
