How wonderful is Marius von Brasch Contemporary Artist's new painting?!

We are so looking forward to Marius joining us for his Painting and Alchemy course in May! You can book onto his course here: https://www.hawkwoodcollege.co.uk/our-programmes/programme/27158-painting-and-alchemy

The latest, fifth painting for my Untitled series. It’s 80 x 80 cm. I come back again and again to motifs of alchemical imagery, a subject that fascinates me for many years. Perhaps, because it deals with contradictions, paradoxes, polarities that are as confusing as wonderful. In this painting, darkness has its place and power, and I balanced it slightly because I decided not to yield to what’s going on currently.
Alchemy and painting is also the subject of a course/retreat I’ll be facilitating College for Future Thinking end of May. If you have any questions send me a DM or contact

Happy Earth Day from all of us at Hawkwood! 🌍

Satish Kumar, who recently visited Hawkwood to run his Radical Love course with Schumacher College, shared his advice with us this Earth Day. At Hawkwood, we are committed to making a positive impact on our environment - our focus on sustainability is reflected in everything that we do, from the way we manage our grounds and the food we serve to the courses we run and building meaningful, ethical partnerships 🌿

And congratulations to Satish on the Italian publication of Radical Love which is launched in Florence today!

What a beautiful week it has been at Hawkwood! The sun has been shining, and our house has been full of love and creativity ☀️💛

We welcomed the participants on our Radical Love with Satish Kumar course, in partnership with Schumacher College, on Monday. They have had a wonderful week exploring what it means to live life with purpose and presence through meditation, Qi Gong with June Mitchell, and grounding time in the garden 🌿💚

We have also had the exciting Tribe Collective here who have been filling the house with laughter and imagination on their Artist Residency this week! With nine of their ensemble, they have been engaged in the research and development of two theatrical works, crafted by their playwrights.

Such an inspirational week!
