I'm always aiming for a natural look in my floral designs, which is hard to achieve when your under pressure to complete an an installation in a very limited time, but I think we nailed it here. The two columns are definitely 'growing' up either side of the entrance to Crewkerne church, which will beautifully frame the bride and groom as they exit.

Bridal bouquets are so personal, I couldn't resist going for a huge one, but Sarah's holding a more petite bouquet, with tendrils of Jasmine allowing movement and the mixture of content including Ferdinand Pichard striped roses creating textural interest.

When you've got a big space like a church
to fill, unless your budget is limitless you can't decorate the whole venue, so choose the most prominent positions and decorate those. A good tip is to walk through the space following the route your guests will be taking and make a note of any empty areas, focal points or ugly utilities which you might want to hide.

When I got married this year at , despite having a fantastic team, lots of expertise and of course a passion for floral design, I knew it was unrealistic to do too much, so I kept it simple and created four large lateral urns, which I placed on tall pedestals so they would be easily seen. Two were positioned near the entrance to greet guests as they entered and two were placed either side of where we stood, framing us during the service. Then two were repurposed for the reception and the other two were dismantled the following day by the Abbey flower ladies, so that the flowers could be reused for another wedding later that week, a great solution as I hate waste.

Despite the gentle warmth of the late summer sun the days are feeling Autumnal, with the intensive heat earlier in the year forcing the trees to discard their leaves which now litter the road in a yellowing carpet, but I'm not yet ready to let go of the summer 😏

Who's fir a hoop... suspended as behind the top table these make a pretty addition to the floral decor. They also look great free hanging so they turn in the breeze and I've done smaller versions for bridesmaids and flower girls to carry instead of posies... so many options, how would you use them?

The meadow style table centres coninued the wild theme with soft grasses, seed heads and delicate flowers bobbing on tall stems. This is one of my favourite designs and one I used at my wedding.

We have been blessed to have lived during the reign of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and as we mourn her passing, let's be thankful for her devotion to us and this country.

This amazing woman, mother and monarch, the likes of whom we are unlikely to see again gave her entire life to service and duty.

Rest in peace your Magesty, reunited with your beloved Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

I've just left the studio to do a bit of forging and this field stopped me in my tracks. The golden barley ripened by the hot weather, with the valley rolling away in the distance is just beautiful - what a stunning part of the world I'm lucky enough to live in. 😁
