So my lovely friends, tonight is the night of the National Finals . I am throwing myself back into my wonderful world of weddings.

💜 After a long struggle, my darling Mum has found her final peace. I am naturally sad, but more than anything, I feel an overwhelming sense of sheer relief that a life that has been filled with so much love, glamour, and genuine fun will suffer no more.
💜 Yes, I am going to attend the awards because after so many sad days, I need to surround myself with love, positivity, and, of course, sparkles. I just know that this is exactly what my mum would have wanted me to do.
💜 So I will raise a glass of her beloved prosecco, breath deep, and breathe in all the love and energy in that room tonight. Win, lose, or draw just being there is an honour I never thought possible. Thank you to my beautiful 2024 couples who have made all this excitement possible.

As you know, I'm always over the moon to receive a 5-star Google review, each one is a little ray of sunshine for my small business! However, there is something special about receiving one from a fellow wedding supplier.

💜 In August this year, I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside the amazing Suzannah for Kateryna and Paul's wedding ceremony. The English summer weather kept us on our toes (as it loves to do), but with Suzannah's coordination and the wonderful Jo lending a helping hand- literally by holding an umbrella over my head-I was able to deliver most of the ceremony before the heavens opened up.

💜We then made a quick, collective dash into the gorgeous pergola, where Kateryna and Paul exchanged their vows in the most beautifully intimate setting. It was a day full of love, laughter and unforgettable, if not soggy, moments! 💜

It has taken a while to share my news as I'm still totally in shock that last night I won Celebrant of the Year in the East of England regional finals.

💜 I was completely blown away by the love and support showered upon me by the other wedding suppliers in the beautiful wedding barn . Honestly, Claire and Jo from Jas from .flowers
Tracey from Sammi from and so many others, thanks for your hugs and holloers.

💜 There will never be enough words to express the gratitude I feel to each and every one of my beautiful couples who took time out of their busy lives to vote for me. Huge thanks also go to and the judging panel for the faith you have placed in me and my little business.

💜 I will now go on to proudly represent the East of England at the National finals in London next January (I can't believe I 've just written that). As always, my biggest cheerleader will be right there by my side. Huge thanks to him for driving me home last night when the adrenaline and excitement of the night made the glasses of prosecco hit a little harder than normal 🤣

💜 Honestly, I'm speechless, but it just goes to show that you are never too old to follow your dreams 💜

The gorgeous colour vibe of Cobi and Stuart's wedding on Saturday felt almost spring like, filled with pops of the colour yellow and sunflowers everywhere from Cobi's bouquet to her nails.

💜Guests were invited to take photos during the ceremony and so Mr S-H was also called into action to grab a shot of the happy couple and their guests.

💜The ceremony was a beautiful celebration of love, uniting their two families into one. Cobi's daughter, Elsie, read a poem she'd written especially for the big day and all three of their children were involved in the hand tying moment and signed as witnesses on Cobi and Stuart's wedding certificate.

💜 Cobi arrived in the most amazing Cadillac Deville (Mr S-H was itching to have a ride) and straight after the ceremony our happy couple took a few minutes for themselves by taking a spin around the block.

💜I've so much more to share from this gorgeous ceremony, but for now Cobi and Stuart, I can't tell you how happy I am you walked into my room at Martels and found your way into my celebrant world. I wish you a long and happy married life together filled with so much love and of course laughter at "loud curtains".

💜Thank you Phoebe and Jack for your very kind words. They took me right back to all the fun and laughter of your oh so special wedding day. It was such an honour to be asked to conduct your wedding ceremony as I knew how long it had been in the planning!

I'll always remember the warmth, joy and love that filled the air that day, and how after signing your wedding certificate the two of you became completely immersed in your own world, chatting away at the signing table as if you were the only two people in the world. It was gorgeous to watch 💜

What a fantastic day I had on Saturday conducting Billy and Dan's autumnal themed wedding ceremony at the beautiful .

💜The ceremony script was peppered with song title references and quotes from their favourite performers. I even attempted to sing a few words during my welcome to the guests!

💜Billy and Dan made their entrances alongside some of the most significant people in their lives, followed by their adorably fur baby scampering down the aisle with their wedding ring pooches attached to her collar. The ring pooches didn't quite make it and Rebecca from Adventure Tails and to make a quick dash to pick them up!

💜Billy and Dan chose not to include "I Do" vows just their own heartfelt and funny personal vows. Again lots of song references and the love they share for each other and their fur baby, Cindy, shone from every word. Check out the cake photo!

💜Dan's MOH shared a poem she had created especially for them, from which I will most definitely be "borrowing" some lines for future ceremonies and Emma, Billy's sister, read the Apache Indian Wedding Blessing beautifully.

💜To seal the deal Billy and Dan lit their flame of love in the form of a unity candle ceremony which included both their mums. More to come on this moment later.

💜Billy and Dan I will be forever grateful you walked through my door at Martels that day, and that you felt the same connection I did. Billy you will never know the massive internal "YESSSSS" I shouted when you called me a few days later to continue our conversation. 💜Have a fabulous honeymoon 💜

What can I say about Lucy and Zac's wedding ceremony that I haven't already raved about?

💜 It was a beautifully warm July day filled with love, laughter and copious amounts of sunflowers. I am never going to forget the tranquillity of the ceremony space nestled amongst ancient trees and the gentle sounds of a babbling brook.

💜 Ever since I conducted Lucy and Zac's ceremony, sunflowers have reminded me of the warmth and love that surrounded them that day. This 5-Star Google review is like a sunflower in full bloom- bright, radiant and standing tall for all to see. Thank you Lucy and Zac for this very special gift. 🌻

Oh my goodness everyone just looked what dropped into my inbox this afternoon. Did you all hear me scream for joy!!

💜Seriously I am blown away by this incredible honour. I want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of my amazing couples who took the time to vote for me. You've truly made me one very happy celebrant I just can't tell you what this means to me.

It may have poured with rain for most of the day but nothing and I mean nothing was going to dim the fun or colours of Abbie and Jamie's disco themed wedding day on Tuesday.

💜They'd worked so hard for months making all those vibrant ribbon streamers you can see hanging from the ceiling of the Grain Store if you look closely you might catch a glimpse of a few glitter balls.

💜The aisle flower arrangements and bouquets created by my team mate were simply stunning.

💜 Abbie and Jamie exchanged heartfelt (I had to nip in with a tissue) personal vows and topped it all off with a hand tying, cue more vibrant ribbons.

💜 Their ceremony was full of fun moments, but non better than when Abbie and Jamie danced back up the aisle to the accompaniment of her brother, Joe playing along on his electric guitar to Electric Dreams sweetly sung by Abbie's music students.

💜 So much more to come about this colourful fun-filled wedding, but for now Abbie and Jamie, I will be forever grateful that you found your way into my celebrant world via my room at Martels and that Jamie you decided that, yes the Celebrant route was the way to go. Good Call!!!
