Sometimes, the weather says it’s a very low chance of a spattering of rain and our customers might think we’re being overprotective or silly in requiring cover at outdoor events… ☂️☀️🤷♀️ [E.T.A: not these particular customers!🫣]

We made an exception for our super duper lovely friends’ new pub event and paid the price! 😩 Lots of wet and muddy (actually potentially now defective in one case?) gear, days of drying it all out and testing to make sure we can do the following packed weekend of events and -on this occasion- lost income too. 😕
We always require cover in case of sudden monsoon (!!?!) and we will now more than ever not feel awkward or bad about that!!!! Once you’re set up, you simply cannot move or protect all the super expensive stuff quickly and we are not hobbyists-our livelihoods depend on that gear so it needs to be covered from the start. A tarp actually wasn’t enough 🫣

Today we had a Jolly Polly and the Pirates / Eclectric Music / Badgers Lots Of Them band practice with Chief Badger Dom. 🦡 🏴☠️ 🦡 🏴☠️
We’ve got a few wedding and party gigs booked in together under one or other of the aforementioned band names this summer, with Polly deputising for Badgers Ollie on bass! Badger David will be there anyway….
