That 'freshly picked from the woods' type of feel. Wild. Textured. Naturally unstructured. Beautifully rustic. Chefs kiss

Please just drop me a message if you'd like to order βΊ
Just for a little info, I only account for pre orders and can't guarantee that I can fulfil any orders on the weekend of Mother's day. Last year I only had enough flowers left for one small bouquet on the day, and I so hate to disappoint people when they ask and I can't accommodate. Preordering helps my little business as I'm able to buy flowers and sundries in advance which reduces waste. It also let's me plan in advance so I can spend some time with my own lovely Mam.
Thank you so much π₯° xx
Sometimes it's the little things... a bunch of discounted shop bought tulips in a pint glass.
I know I should completely oppose supermarket flowers, because yes, they're impossible to compete with on price. The Giants have more buying power than your local florist, they can buy and sell (and afford to dispose) en masse.
One thing they can be beaten on, and I mean they don't even get a look in, is quality. Your local florist can provide more variety, higher spec flowers (these tulips are very small in comparison to the ones I would buy in for bouquets) and longer lasting arrangements as the flowers are very, very well looked after.
In any case, I went to the shop for a loaf, and saw these in the woopsie section. They were in a bit of a sad state, it was 8 p.m. and they would have probably gone the journey by the next morning so I saw it as a rescue mission more than anything. Some clean water, a trim and a drop of flower food later, they've perked up so the mission was a success ππ
Happy Valentine's Day β€πΉ
Hope you've had the most gorgeous day, whatever you got up to.

Just because π€
Hope everyone is doing well. It has been freezing hasn't it π₯Ά!?
Great for the flowers! The cold conditions keep them in tip top condition. This is why when you buy flowers from me, I always send a care card recommending to keep your flowers in a cool place, not in front of or on top of fires or radiators. This, along with keeping them out of drafty areas, cutting the stems and regularly changing the water will keep them fresher for long
Not great, however, for the florist's hands! π
That just married feeling ππ₯°

What a cheerful bunch π» π· π
It's the last day of January, and it's true that the winter can be a tough time for people: the darkness, the miserable weather and the cold. But there are also so many positives to it, I think. Bringing the duvet downstairs, lighting my favourite candle, putting the fire on, making a cup of tea and binge watching telly. Or reading. Or knitting (don't judge!) Use this last few weeks of winter to hibernate, like nature does, so that you're rested and ready for the energy that spring brings with it.
Wrist corsages ππ€
Funnily enough I do get asked a lot about corsages, the most common questions being who gets one, what flowers should be used and should it be for the wrist or pinned like a buttonhole?
The mothers and grandmothers of the bride and groom usually wear corsages, however there is no steadfast rule. They can make thoughtful tokens of appreciation for other women in your life, sisters, friends, aunts, nieces and cousins π₯° (the same works for Buttonholes and the men in your life!)
In terms of flowers, it is always lovely when there is a theme and I normally advise they are in keeping with the flowers of the bride and bridesmaid's bouquets. If you're unsure about outfit clashes or just want to keep it simple, whites and greens go with everything!
As to how it's worn, well that is completely a personal preference!
Some prefer to have it pinned so that they aren't irritated by the weight on their wrist. Traditionally they're pinned upside down, as the flowers are top heavy.
Others prefer it on their wrist so they don't have to put a pin in their outfit, especially if the fabric is delicate. There are a few options when it comes to wrist fastenings, but I tend to make wrist corsages either on a soft ribbon and to be tied directly to the wrist, or on a bracelet to slip on.
Cost wise, wrist corsages tend to be more expensive as they are usually wired, which is fiddly work and is more time consuming, compared to tieing small bunches together with twine or ribbon.
I hope this post helps future brides and grooms when it comes to deciding on their accesories for the ladies in their lives π
Always by your Tide ππ€
Absolutely love this fun photo from the Whittaker wedding of the stunning Lauren and her gorgeous bridesmaids! Lauren's colour theme was on point, light blues, crisp whites and silver grey foliages which were a perfect fit for the beautiful coastal backdrop π.

Featuring the ever popular hydrangea... she can be a diva, but she is worth it!
For those of you who love a hydrangea, here's a handy tip: if they start to look a bit sad, dunk them head first in water! They absorb water from absolutely everywhere, including their petals, and are one of the only species that actually do that. Hence the name hydrangea, which comes from the Ancient Greek words for water vessel π§πͺ£

Good things come in small bundles π€
Did you know that Buttonholes are thought to have originated from Ancient Greece? Apparently, a groom would wear a small bunch of flowers with herbs to ward off evil spirits, otherwise the evil spirits would force the groom to turn his heart away.
I'm not sure about evil spirits, but I am sure that Buttonholes, whilst one of the more modest floral feature of any wedding, do make a statement. As they often match the bridal party flowers, they represent connection and commitment. And they look amazing on wedding photos!
So, it is true. Good things really do come in small bundles π
January, the month which feels like a year in itself!
Just a little something to brighten up your grid, and to remind you that spring is just around the corner π
The look of love β€
A gorgeous photo of a gorgeous couple, Rebecca & Craig, from their intimate wedding at South Sheilds Town Hall last year.
The brief for this wedding was earthy and natural with plenty of eucalyptus (a native species of Australia, Craig's home country), so not only was the bouquet stunning, but the smell was unreal π!
Dates are filling up for this year, and my diary is open for next year, so if you would like to enquire just send me a message on Facebook or Instagram βΊ
