We are looking to recruit a dual site cook/chef to join our hard working team.
Start times between 8:00am-10:00am and finish times would be between 3:30pm-4:00pm subject to days of the week. We can also offer some flexibility to cater for school drop off/pickups if required on specific days.
The role would be to cover 2 sites; Flamingo Cafe in Seaham and Ruhe in Sunderland.

Experience is essential and the right candidate must have a positive attitude and willing to work at least 2 weekends per month (flexible around other days worked).
Duties include; completing food checks, making traybake cakes, keeping up with food hygiene standards and regulations, general cleaning duties, daily and weekly stock ordering and assisting with the smooth operation of the kitchen on a daily basis.
Will report directly to Cafe Manager.

Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Daily and weekly stock checking/ordering online
- Ensure that food is quickly prepared and well presented
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a calmly manner
- Strong attention to detail to present dishes at a high standard
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Salary: From £11 per hour depending on experience capped at £13 per hour for someone who is willing to take on more of a head chef role holding the relevant experience.
