CSNE was established by Fiona and Mark Clegg in 1994 as a way for children and young people to be involved and acquire a love and appreciation of the performing arts. ed by CSNE include The Wizard of Oz, Guys & Dolls, Hello Dolly!, Kiss Me Kate, Alice in Wonderland, Anything Goes, The Music Man, Bugsy Malone, Cry in the Dark and Disney’s Aladdin. As well as producing their own shows, CSNE has been involved as part of many others including professional productions in venues such as the Sunderland Empire, The Customs House, The Gala Theatre Durham, The Theatre Royal, The Tyne Theatre and the Metro Radio Arena. As well as producing musicals, CSNE also offers private singing tuition and speech & drama and musical theatre classes – working towards LAMDA qualifications. You may remember that back in August, Centre Stage North East posted some mysterious photos of a special secret project that we were involved in.
Well, we can now reveal that Centre Stage was honoured to be asked to provide the entire cast of a new audio drama set in Medieval North East and based on the legend of The Lambton Worm.
Written and produced by Charlie Dobres, the six part limited series The Maiden and the Dragon is a fascinating look at life at the time, as well as featuring drama, fantasy, and of course the good old North Eastern sense of humour.
We are grateful to Charlie for giving us such a great opportunity and we are now excited to hear the results, as all six episodes dropped on to Spotify today. Give it a listen 😀👩‍👧🐉

We are so proud to say that this group of wonderful, talented, and wonderfully talented young people absolutely slayed this weekend in our production of Frozen.
You know, it's crazy that not only do we finish each others sandwiches, but also what a wild, emotional musical, Disney roller coaster we've been on together. We will never forget it.
