We are so proud to say that this group of wonderful, talented, and wonderfully talented young people absolutely slayed this weekend in our production of Frozen.
You know, it's crazy that not only do we finish each others sandwiches, but also what a wild, emotional musical, Disney roller coaster we've been on together. We will never forget it.

Do You Want to Build a Reindeer? Step 6 🦌

Sven is nearing completion!
His body and legs are now covered in fur and his hooves are attached. He has also had a few unseen tweaks done to his head to simplify the blinking and mouth mechanisms.
All that is left to do is for a pair of trousers to be made for the performer out of the same fur as his body. Then his mane (the white fur in the picture) will be used to connect his head and body to the performer.

Do You Want to Build a Reindeer? Step 5 🦌

The first full test of Sven's walking mechanism.

The wheelchair was only used for ease. In the show the performer will have the body attached to their lower back. The threads attached to his legs will be attached to their (opposite) legs so when they step forward with their right foot, the rear left will also step, creating (hopefully!) a realistic reindeer walk.
And don't worry, he will be getting fur!
