// Luke & Amy \\

2nd time at this year, and it never fails to deliver a great party.

Luke and Amy, like all my couples, wanted a mic of relaxed candids and fun photos, and boy did their friends and family deliver.

Amy got ready in the lovely bridal suite on site, and while her and the girls were having hair and make up done, I got chance to go and capture some of their lovely details across the venue. Hanbury is set up really well with a separate ceremony room and wedding breakfast room. This means guests can be seamlessly moved to different rooms without the need to wait for set up.

Luke arrived shortly after details were done and so managed to capture some of his groom prep in the awesome little pods that guests can stay in.

During the ceremony, it was lovely to see a sand pouring ceremony take place watching the lovely couple and their kids blend 2 jars of sand together to symbolise the blending of life's in to one I always like this as it's a little memento to take away from the ceremony.

Just before the party started, Luke and Amy had wanted to have some fun photos with their bridesmaids and groomsmen after being some of my previous weddings. So we got to play with some smoke bombs and got everyone to sit for a group photo with some drinks.

Once the party started, this was where the real fun started. There were trays of shots going round, ci**rs lit, and some cracking dance moves being shown on the dance floor. As the night drew to a close, the party was still going strong.

Can't wait to visit Hanbury again. Love working at this venue.

// Matthew & Emily \\

I used to work with matthew many years ago and when I got a phone call last year I felt chuffed to be asked to be their photographer. Shortly after speaking with them I was chatting with another one of my couples and found out that Emily was the sister of my other couple. This felt great to know I was to be apart of 2 awesome celebrations this year.

Matthew and Emily wanted to get married at the beautiful and then have their reception near Exton.

This celebration was a bitter sweet event as Matthew was shortly to be deployed for 6 months overseas.

The reception went off as lots of Matthews Raf pals were present and many a forfeit was made during the speeches as people snuck name cards away and wrote things on the back to pass to the master of ceremonies. It was then matthews job to dish out punishments for those that lost. Some included a dance off, doing a shot, finishing a drink and many more. This made for some great photos and funny reactions.

As the evening arrived so did a sunset and it couldn't have finished the night off better then with a golden hour shot of the lovely couple.

Beeston walled gardens is always a pleasure to work at. Back in June this lovely couple tied the knot.

Mai-linh got ready at home and was keen for me to capture some images of her lovely cat. Unfortunately being a new face in the house her cat was hiding. Luckily when Hadyn arrived back at the house after doing some final detail prep at the venue the cat appeared.

Once we left to the venue the weather was glorious. Perfect for an outside ceremony.

The whole day was a very relaxed affair for a mid week wedding.

The gardens are always so good to work in for couples portraits. As small as the venue is there are perfect pockets of scenery to work with. These 2 were so relaxed with each other that I barely had to explain what I was intending to shoot.

Here are some of my favourite images from the day.

// Jamie & Natalie \\

Jamie and Natalie had a very firm plan of having their wedding at thoresby estate where Jamie works. They have a lot of memories of this place, and the reception was held very close to the lake near where Jamie had proposed. With the backdrop of the gorgeous trees and lake, it really made for picturesque group photos. There were lots of little details that jamie had give a nod to his job, such as shot gun cases in their initials, a tractor and trailer to transport guests to the reception from the church and finally Jamie's gun dog as their ring bearer.

There was a plan for the day, and unfortunately, the weather decided 10 minutes before the ceremony to change that by raining. No matter, we are flexible and decided to change things around to accommodate this.

There was still a gaurd honour using shotguns coming out of the church, but we decided to hold off on confetti until it brightened up. So instead, we went off for their couple photos first while the guests went up to the marquee to grab some drinks and listen to the awesome faye Donaldson on sax.

was a super helpful second photographer and dress arranger for these photos. Big shout out to him for his puddle relfection shot.

The night went off with on Sax, and the dancefloor was soon filled.

As the night drew to a close, a perfect rainbow came out to make for one last photo of the couple, sharing a hug looking out over the lake. What a perfect day these guys had, and the rain couldn't even have dampended the mood if it tried.

// Alex & Callum \\

In June I got to reunite with this couple after working with them at Alex's twin sisters wedding back in Sept 23.

Funny story I net alex at a wedding fayre after her sister had already booked me and I sent out their quote and I was racking my brains as to where I had seen her. After she walked away from my wedding fayre stand her sister then walks past and we start chatting and I realised they were twins. I felt honoured that both sisters had booked me for their big days.

On to the wedding day and I had been wanting to work at the lovely for some time and it didn't disappoint. The libary was such a lovely back drop for the dress and detail shots.

After dinner these guys wanted to have the same fun with their bridal party as they had at their sisters wedding. We worked with smoke bombs to get an awesome group shots of bridesmaids and Groomsmen. We had a beer run with some questionable tactics from the groom to win. And also one of the most epic champagne spray shots I've shot this year.

The evening saw lots of the guests throwing shapes on the dance floor and many many shots were consumed for some epic photos.

Here are some of my favourite shots.

// Krissy & Grant \\

What started as the most embarrassing thing I had ever done. Having my phone auto correct .maria name to Krispy. I was sure that this would put them off. I quickly apologised and waiting with baited breathe to see if they would reply. We'll I soon got a reply and she signed off with my the new name.

They then told me their plan to have a wedding with a fair ground and I was hooked. They then said it was in Kent and stunning venue. didn't disappoint.

The evening sees the guests spend 2 hours reliving child hood memories going on fair ground rides.

This is where myself and thought it would be a good idea to hop in the dodgems with the Groomsmen and get some on the ground photos and footage. We'll that was a mistake my knees still hurt where the Groomsmen kept trying to hit .ogles1 and we hit the dashboard.

I hope I can go back to this venue one day as it has so many opportunities for photos.

// Alice and Matthew \\

At the end of may I shot this lovely wedding that had a marquee on Alice's parents property with a lovely church ceremony just a mile down the road.

Her dad had prepared his vintage car, tractor and land-rover to take the wedding party to and from the ceremony. He had also under taken manicuring his lovely wild flower meadow for some photos later on.

The evening saw the dance floor filled with some amazing dance moves. Even inspiring to break out his party moves.

Wayyyyyy back at the beginning of June I shot this wedding at .

Lois had a plan to get married but no date. Then a cancellation came up and so they had one and only 3 months to plan it. Well they couldn't have planned a better wedding with the time they had.

There was an inflatable obstacle course, a bucking bull, fire breather and stilt walker, they had a magician, llamas and a random sheep and to top it off they had the best weather.

Their friends and family had such a blast and every where I turned there was a photo opportunity.

Here are a selection of my fav photos from the day.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting this amazing couples wedding. They wanted a really chilled out vibe for their wedding and it easily delivered. They did it their way.

When I talk to couples and they say they want to do a wedding their way these guys truly achieved it.

Here are some of my favourite images from the day.

Take me back already to this wedding at . As I'm sitting here at the computer and having just clicked send on their full gallery I realised how lucky I am to get to relive their day through the photos taken. Take me back already as it was so much fun.

I've never seen a dance floor go off like these guys had. Walking in to 2 drummers playing these 2 and their guests were ready to dance.

// Kaleigh & Dom \\

On Friday I got to see the love unfold for this lovely couple at the lovely . It was my first tike at the venue and it didn't disappoint.

I had spent all week watching the weather app as it almost seemed to change daily with some saying rain and other times saying sunny. Well Friday arrives and the weather couldn't have been any better.

The day started with prep at the couples home only a couple of miles away and was filled with lots of laughter from the bridesmaids and their lovely little flower girls. A big laugh came when mum opened a magnum of prosecco and shortly after it proceeded to fizz all over the living room floor.

Once prep was done the wedding party had a lovely car ride over in an old vintage car.

The ceremony arrived and these 2 were full of smiles throughout. A big shout out to who the couple knew and asked if it was OK if he could take pictures to during the day. Instead of him being at the back I suggested he come and join me up the front and capture some photos from there. This lad has a real eye for this.

The evening rolled round and I have to say the highlight was seeing dom and 3 friends be dressed up in the ymca costumes and made to do the actions to the song.

// Liam & Georgia \\

Wow Edinburgh did not disappoint yesterday. What was meant to be a wet dismal day, magically cleared and beautiful sun bathed the Scottish city in perfect light for this lovely couple.

The morning prep started at the The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh - Venue and Events and once everyone was ready they caught a lovely old Daimler limo over to St. John's Scottish Episcopal Church in the centre of Edinburgh.

Georgia walked down the aisle to her amazing colleagues playing a beautiful classical piece (I have forgotten the name of the piece they played) the quarter played this wonderfully.

Once the ceremony was done the group shots were held in the courtyard outside with Edinburgh castle providing the backdrop for these.

The evening reception entertainment was a very fast paced ceilidh dance and all the guests got so involved. It was hard not to want to join in myself.

I don't always shoot my own weddings. Sometimes I help out others in the industry and second shoot for them.

Last year I got to work with one of my good friends Holly Bryan Photography and i got to go back to the lovely Normanton Church and then on to the family farm for the reception.

I love this type of wedding as the vibe is so chilled. As I spent the morning with the lads getting ready I got to capture them having a laugh and playing with their trucks.

// Introducing me \\

I thought I would put my own face on here and say hello and talk about my self a little (cringe I know).

As I'm approaching my 9th year in business it's been nice to reflect recently on the 260+ weddings that couples have trusted me to be apart of.

What started out as a hobby mucking around with a camera has blown me away that its now my full time business for over 8 years and I couldn't be happier with what I get to call my day job.

It's been amazing to travel all over the UK wide from Depths of Devon to the top of Scotland and everywhere in between to photography happy couples on their wedding day.

This year I'm aiming to do more behind the scenes photos and video to show future couples what it is I do and why I'll be a good fit for your wedding.

Holmewood Hall has been a place I've wanted to visit for a while now and what a perfect day it was to visit for Zina and Tony's wedding Back in November.

These guys opted for a half day package and used the time split across the end of bridal prep through to seating for their wedding breakfast.

These guys were super chilled and not even the church being opened on time for their ceremony time could stress them out. Zina arrived in a beautiful horse drawn carriage by 2 lovely black horses. It was such a lovely contrast to the white carriage.

Big thank you to Holly Bryan Photography for second shooting for me and was also great to work along side jacks films again. You guys are ace to work with.

Finally clearing the back log of social posts and in September I got to go back to the Grange at Morton. It had almost been a year since I had been there.

I love this barn venue such character. The day started off at Rachel's house with such colourful flowers and details. I've also never panicked so much in my life over a dress when the cat started trying to grab the dress from under the door frame. Luckily Rachel was quick to grab him.

They had a church ceremony with then a quick walk up to the the Grange. Which saw her sister and nephew take a an electric scooter for a spin back to the reception.

With some lovely grounds to explore we made the most of the evening sun during portraits.

// Gemma & Patrick \\

Back in September I got to work at the at one of my all time favorite venues again for Gemma and Patrick at Stubton Hall.

I love the big grand staircase and I wanted to try something different with it, so Gemma's beautiful dress was hung very carefully from the stairs to be framed with that amazing chandelier.

The front of the hall is so grand with its huge pillars so this made a great back drop for those Bridal party and Groomsmen shots.

Big thank you to Kieran Bellis Photography for second shooting with me at this wedding.

Couldn't help myself tonight. Got back home and was itching to get some of the shots from this evening with the after dinner couple shots and also with their bridal party and Groomsmen.

Sam messaged me after seeing some shots from a couple weddings ago and asked to add these in for him and his mates. The beer run is always good fun even if Sam did try swiping some ones legs out. Well done to the best man Cal who won the beer. Don't let those haters tell you, you didn't win we have photo evidence for you lol.

// Jo & Ben \\

Last week saw these 2 tying the knot at the lovely St Helen's Church in Ashby de la zouch and then moving on to Mythe Barn Wedding Venue for the reception.

This wedding was a first for me in the sense that I saw the groom sprinting away from the church down the road as I was approaching. My first thoughts are "He's doing a runner", Ben suddenly spots me and asks could I take him home. Not what you expect to hear, but he explained he had forgotten the rings. With laughs had between us we jumped back in the car and quickly ran him home. Luckily we had plenty of time before the wedding.

All went off without a hitch after that and these two had many laughs through out the day. During the speech we saw Ben reunited with his much beloved horse from his stag do which caused much laughter during the speeches. As evening set the sun was getting lower in the sky and now time for some photos with the bridal party and groomsmen.

Shortly after Jo and Ben went to scope out their bridal suite which is amazing by the way, go check it out. I heard giggling and saw Jo climbing in to the bath passing her a drink she took a couple mins to chill.

First dance came and huge thanks to Nik Bryant Photography for capturing this stunning photo from up high.

// Jamie & Beth - Beer Run \\

With summer well under way what better fun to have with your groomsens and friends at a wedding than doing a beer run. We usually do these after dinner speeches so that all those nice photos have been captured.

Its so easy to do.
Step 1. Buy a bottle of beer and place 20 to 30 feet in front of your start line
Step 2. Run for the bottle of beer and try not to be to boisterous (although it does look funny for the photos)
Step 3. Winner enjoys the free beer.

N.B NO Groomsmen were hurt in the making of these photos 😂

This photo was taken while second shooting for . Thanks for allowing me to capture some truly fun and hilarious memories at Jamie and Beth's wedding at back in Summer 2021.

Also how dapper do these lads look even when running.

Yesterday, we gathered under the glorious sun at the enchanting Inkersall Grange Farm Teepee Weddings & Events , a picturesque tipi wedding venue, to celebrate the union of two extraordinary souls: David and Emma. As the rays of light danced upon the fields, their love bloomed in a celebration filled with warmth, joy, and endless love.

The scorching summer day was no match for the cool and collected spirits of David and Emma. Their love radiated brighter than the sun itself, and their unwavering calmness set the tone for an unforgettable day.

The tipis stood tall against the sun and as the breeze whispered through the billowing fabric, laughter echoed throughout the venue as guests found respite in the shade, embracing the summer vibes with refreshing drinks and delightful treats
As the sun slowly painted the sky in hues of gold and orange, the atmosphere grew even more enchanting as we went for a stroll in the evening sunset.
