I love these images from M & A’s Autumn vintage inspired tipi wedding.

These beautiful late September flowers went with the theme perfectly. We had Peachy/orangey dahlias and garden roses, biscuit and russet shades of Amaranthus and Zinnias along with a touch of dusky pink from the Japanese Anemones and Phlox plus other gorgeousness like the Scabious, Cosmos, dried Honesty & grasses.

It was such a joy to create these flowers for such a lovely relaxed couple.

Wreath Workshops have sold really quickly this year however we do have a few places left on these ones

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to make your own fresh Christmas wreath then come along and create your own unique wreath to adorn your front door. Ingredients are locally sourced and all natural embellishments so no plastic is used.

Or you may prefer to create a beautiful dried flower wreath to add some floral art to your home decor. The dried wreath workshop costs more as the ingredients we’ll use will be more expensive and you need more dried flowers to fill the wreath. However your dried wreath will last much much longer than a fresh Christmas wreath. You can create one to complement your decor and enjoy all year long.

Thought it was time to show my face on here, for any new followers, although I’m not keen 🤦🏼‍♀️ 😆

I’m Maria the person behind The Flower Patch, it’s been just over 10 years since I ventured into flower growing and floristry. Although I had done both as hobbies for many years but actually making a living was a whole new level. Let’s just say I had everything to learn.

Fast forward and there is so much I love about this job, flowering weddings, teaching floristry workshops, creating funeral flowers and this year freelancing for other amazing wedding businesses.

But what I love the most it that no two days are ever the same. It’s not always about arranging the flowers, the less glamorous side of floristry and flower growing is physically very hard work and I always seem to be washing buckets & sweeping up but for me it beats sitting at a desk all day every day.
I’m so grateful how things have turned out.

H&J chose our wedding flowers package service for their wedding celebration in June.

I created a beautiful wild flower style bridal bouquet, dried flower buttonholes so these could be kept as mementos and DIY flower buckets for them to create their own table flower decor.

and so May returns, one of my favourite months, let’s hope the weather is kind.

This bowl arrangement was created with flowers left from last weekend’s event. I don’t often find time to create something just for me, so it was a treat to put this together.
If you are into flowers and want to switch off and do something just for you I’d always suggest creating a bowl arrangement. They are a bit more relaxing and more creative than making a bouquet.
