Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank you to all our customers and friends for another amazing year we have catered some amazing weddings this year ... 26 in total, met some amazing people and made new friends along the way.

Our amazing team have worked hard to make sure everything was perfect and have done an amazing job.

We have signed a brand new lease on our Burnbake cafe so we will be there for another 3 years with some exciting new additions for next season.

And some exciting things are on their way with our mobile catering .... Watch this space.......

But for now we will take a few days off with our families to celebrate so see you all soon!

As our 2024 wedding season draws to a close we have the time to look back on another amazing year packed with some stunning weddings at incredible venues.

We are proud to put so much time and effort into every wedding we do from the planning stage right through to the big day.

We are lucky that we get to work with some amazing venues and awesome suppliers who work tirelessly to make sure everything goes well on the day.

2025 is shaping up to be another busy year and the diary is already nearly full. We have also started taking bookings for 2026 so it's looking like the busy times are here to stay!

Thank you to all our amazing couples this year for booking us and we can't wait to start working on next year's weddings and travelling to some more beautiful venues.

This weekend saw us go to in Swanage for a private party.

The clients wanted a ploughman's style buffet for lunch followed by an afternoon tea.

You certainly don't get many venues with that kind of view.

We loved catering for these clients as they knew exactly what they wanted and loved spending time with their family and friends whilst enjoying all the food.

It's that time of the year again when we get to wish the man from behind the cooker a very happy birthday!

He can normally be found cooking up a storm, if it's in his smoker, on the BBQ, in the food truck or behind the grill as long as he has tongs (or a beer) in his hand he is happy.

But today we let him have the day off, but fear not he is back catering a wedding tomorrow!

It's been a busy few months here at Crab Apple HQ, we have been neglecting our socials! Here are a few snaps of some recent events we have been doing, staying with a family paella! We have been really lucky to get the few sunny days for our weddings.

It has been a really busy wedding season so far, we have ticked off 13 this year with another 13 to go! Jordan has been putting our new smoker through its paces, brisket has been a real winner with the wedding guests this year!

We also opened our campsite cafe back up for the season, open weekends at the moment but will be open everyday for breakfast and dinner from 6th July until the schools go back in September. We are pleased to say we have just extended our lease on the cafe as well so we will be there until 2027!

We will try and do better with posting more pictures for you all to see what we have been up to!

Vacancy!

We have a vacancy at our campsite cafe. We are looking for someone part time to help take orders, make drinks and help with general kitchen duties.

Hours will be initially at weekends with more in the school holidays. Shifts will include 7.30am until around 10am, 5.30pm until around 8pm. With a rota provided a month in advance.

You will need your own transport to the cafe at Burnbake Campsite, however we comeback to Swanage after the shift so are happy to bring you home!

Another busy weekend at Crab Apple.

This weekend saw Jordan, Sarah and Megan head over to the stunning for a wedding, the couple had a hog roast menu served to the table on sharing boards. We absolutely loved catering at this venue and wish the happy couple all best in the future.

Meanwhile Matt and Scarlet headed over to for their first tap room weekend since moving to their new home. We had a great afternoon serving lots of happy customers! We can't wait to return! Great beer and cracking food. What's not to like?!

Now to get everything clean and ready for next weekend when we have a double header of weddings with one on Friday and another Saturday.

We had an amazing evening yesterday catering for some fantastic customers who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with their family.

15 guests staying in one of cottages.

We started off with some canapes along with a beautiful sunset. Followed by smoked brisket, house marinated chicken and lamb leg. We served this with corn on the cob, roasted new potatoes and roasted root veg.

The meal was finished off in style with macarons, mini cheesecakes and mini pavlovas.

With 2 vegans and 3 veggies we didn't want them to be left out. They were treated to Mediterranean vegetable skewers and BBQ jackfruit. Followed by vegan chocolate mousse, vegan carrot cake and vegan lemon cake.

It was our pleasure to cater for such a lovely family! We even got to enjoy a beautiful sky with an almost full moon whilst packing away!

It’s been a long time coming but we’re super excited to say we’ll be open this Good Friday & Easter Saturday 12-8pm!

We’ve got you covered food also as we’re going to be joined by old friends Flaming Peaches on Friday from 1pm and Crab Apple Catering on Saturday from 12pm.
