We currently host two types of bands. (1) For the occasional Saturday evenings we put on live music - members' favourite bands that they have requested. (2) For the regular Sunday afternoons - bands that appeal to the older crowd who like the gentler side of singalong 60s and Rock 'n' Roll music played at a modest volume. Acts: Steve Darrington (contact by email [email protected]). All other matters Club Steward: David Elm (Elmo) 01929 422722.

ADVICE TO ACTS ENQUIRING ABOUT THE LEGION
The following only applies to solo / duo acts and only to Saturday evenings 7pm-9.15pm during the pandemic.
Hello, this is Steve Darrington and I book the bands into Swanage Legion. I was a touring musician for 35 years, now a festival organiser, entertainment consultant and gig guide publisher - see www.stevedarrington.com I prefer to communicate by email [email protected]
I am currently considering applications for bands to play at The Legion on a Sunday afternoon, 3.30-4.30pm and 5pm-6pm when our members’ favourite acts tend towards the 50s, 60s, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and/or well-known covers played at a reasonably low volume.
If you fit into this bracket, please consider the information about The Legion below. If you can comply with our recommendations and wish to be considered, please answer the following questions and email your answers to: [email protected]
NOTE: no attachments.
1. Name of Band and total number of members.
2. Description of your music
3. Website and Facebook links
4. Fee required for a Sunday afternoon of 2 x 60 minutes
Thank you and Best wishes,
Steve Darrington
