WEDDING MYTH - Marquee/DIY weddings are cheaper
The beauty of a marquee wedding is that it offers you a totally blank canvas to create the wedding of your dreams. However, there’s often the misconception that pulling together all the elements yourself will make your day cheaper. While we hate the term ‘hidden costs’, with a marquee wedding there is usually more to it than most couples initially think, so it’s important to price things up beforek you make your final decision.
Here are a few things you may not have thought of:
* Furniture & Lighting - Tables and chairs, bars, dancefloors and lighting.
* PA System
* Toilets
* Generators for electricity
* Heating (think about the great British weather)!
* Caterers and Bar – sometimes they ask you to provide additional marquee space or catering tables. * Tableware – (crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen) will usually need to be hired separately too.
* Styling – lighting, flowers, props and even a stylist to help plan, source and execute your dream theme!
