Swan Samba are a drumming and movement group open to ages 11+ and all abilities, run via Roynon Performing Arts, a school established for 40 years. Workshops are held for all ages and abilities to learn new and exciting drum and performance skills every Tuesday term time. The drumming band plays a fusion of samba styles and have gigged at local carnivals such as Romsey and Hedge End, as well as ex

citing events such as Wi******er’s Hatfair and Wickham Festival. Swan Samba can be found on all relevant social media streams and all enquiries are very welcome, whether it’s to try out in the band, set workshops in schools, or to pencil in future performance opportunities. 🎄Santa’s sleigh was on full thrust so there were F1 vibes as we did the lap of honour. 😜

Last night’s class / practise was a special one, alright…

Not one but two lovely cortador/dobra players were celebrating milestone birthdays 🎉 and were kind enough to bring the band some sweet treats to celebrate 🎂

The band leader is horrendous with dates but had some magic help from fellow ‘big drum’ player - check out the lovely cards! 🦢

🩵Team Roynon have now performed for over a decade at #StPetersCountryFayre 🤍 Maypole dancing is now the longest running display for the Roynon Performance Team. Well done guys - what an achievement! 🩵 This is an absolute fan favourite in the @roynonperformingarts calendar and we collectively can’t wait to entertain and be a part of this local community event. 🤍 @swansamba will be opening the event for the fourth consecutive year bright and early, doing a short procession and then gig demo after the official opening ceremony.
