We'd like to close 2024 by thanking everyone for the positive response to "Seeing the wood for the trees - Building the community we deserve" our flagship book on community engagement. The has suspended the Welcome Ticket enabling refugees to contribute to their communities. We know money is tight but we agree with Plaid Cymru Race Council Cymru and Swansea City of Sanctuary that this is a backward step.

In Manselton we have our own Lionesses. Their names are Gaynor, Ricky and Nicola and today, yet again, they opened the doors of Manselton & Cwmbwrla Community Centre and gave us an afternoon of great food, great company and a lot of fun.

Not the result we wanted, but the Lionesses are an inspiration and will come again. And after Qatar 2022 turned football into a sportswashing circus for billionaires, this tournament has given the game back to the fans.
Congratulations to Spain and England, to Australia and New Zealand for being brilliant hosts, and to everyone who helped make the past month so special.
