Yesterday was a sad and strange day for many as we lost our long standing and much loved monarch at the age of 96. It was also the day we lost Ray De Vit, father of the late great Tony De Vit. After the passing of Tony in 1998 Ray became a bit of a legend himself, he attended many clubbing events and could often be found at the front of a Tidy party. He would stand there looking up waiting for his sons tracks to be played, he knew the Tidy Boys had been quoted that they would always slip a TDV track in every set if they could and Ray knew by being their at the front he would feel closer to his son and his music. His age never put him off, his quest to be among clubbers who worshiped his son was a great comfort, he got to know many of you and even attended some random after parties to be very close to the community. We know today you will join us at Tidy HQ in sending all our love and thoughts to his daughter Jayne De Vit (Parkes) and the family and friends at this very sad time. Ray was 90 years old but will always be remembered for being young at heart and becoming part of the scene that his son had created. RIP Ray De Vit.
