I had the pleasure of working with L&M to plan their party celebrating their micro wedding at Penrice Castle. They’re an incredibly private couple and I was delighted to read their kind words. “Gail helped us plan and coordinate a large party we held in May 2024 to celebrate our marriage, as our original wedding in 2020 had been impacted by Covid and so was an intimate family affair only. We promised our wider friends and family a belated party and Gail was absolutely instrumental in making this happen smoothly. “Our wedding day would not have been possible without Gail. Following Covid-19, we decided not to wait any longer and set Gail the task of planning our dream wedding in 9 weeks!

Nothing was too much trouble, even when the Covid-19 rules were relaxed and we told Gail we would now have 100 guests!

Given the tight timescale, both working full time, and finding out I was pregnant, we wanted someone to take lead and arrange our perfect day.

Gail began by arranging a call with us to learn about us as a couple, what we liked, and how we pictured our wedding day. I felt at ease as Gail just seemed to get us. She made everything so easy for us by both finding and liaising with suppliers on our behalf.

We should add, this wasn’t a normal wedding arrangement. Instead of marrying at a venue, we decided to marry at my finances parents house. We had successfully obtained the licence, but this meant Gail had to make additional arrangements that would normally be part of a venue - like toilets…

We had the wedding party in a marquee in the garden. Gail managed to navigate the challenge of catering who had a portable kitchen, arranged power and you wouldn’t have known it was there! We had such good feedback about our wedding meal, including the variety and quality of the food.

Gail also arranged our flowers, including some of her own. They were beautiful and classic. She found our band, photographer, videographer and even bar staff! Gail also arranged all of our invitations, sent them out and recorded all of the RSVPs.

Gail was such a fabulous presence on the day! She made sure everything was set up perfectly. She also made sure everyone was in check! Just the right level of fun and order!

We are so grateful to Gail for giving us our perfect day! I would highly recommend her services, she is incredibly professional and extremely creative.”

What can I say, Gail is the best wedding planner ever!! She made the experience of planning our wedding with a newborn so much easier, she is professional, attentive and most of all a lovely person who I will forever remain in contact with. I had the pleasure of working with Gail from Eleanor Gail Wedding & Events Planner for my wedding decorations, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience. From the moment we met, Gail’s professionalism and passion for her work shone through. She not only transformed my wedding vision into a reality but exceeded all expectations in every way.

Gail’s attention to detail is simply remarkable. She took the time to sit down with my partner and me to understand our vision, theme, and preferences. She listened carefully, asked insightful questions, and shared her creative ideas, which left us feeling confident and excited about what she could bring to our special day.

From the outset we both had an idea of the type of wedding that we wanted, but little idea of how to make it happen. We live in the Cotswolds so we are inundated with potential venues all vying to host our special day. We turned to Gail for her help through the maze and she started by giving us two photographers. We booked the first one whose style we preferred, encouraged by her professionalism we leant on Gail more and more, she introduced us to the florist, make up artist and many others who we went on to use. She steered us through the process, the etiquette and some of the seemingly minor things that made our day just extraordinary.

My overriding memory of Gail is her telling us “make sure you practice how you’re going to kiss when the registrar tells you, you want it to look right and you only get one chance” – now that’s dedication and why you should have no hesitation in hiring Gail for your special day.

She said….YES!!!!! I came to Gail with a slightly different request, to help me piece together the perfect proposal for my girlfriend. Gail invested a lot of time in to hearing exactly what my vision entailed, and was great at translating that into something both special and achievable in the real world! Not only did she execute everything perfectly, with beautiful floral displays and magic touches, she was able to ensure it was all kept a secret despite there being multiple locations and chances for that secret to be revealed!

Regular communication and a never say never approach sets Gail apart from the rest, and myself and my (now!) fiancée thank her for everything she did to make that day so special!

So many couples want this change in law, unfortunately the government is unlikely to move on this until the autumn with the changes in-house and their summer break. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Existing law on weddings in England and Wales is "stuck in time" and does not work for most couples, according to the Law Commission.
