We’ve had a busy December where our choir has performed at five different venues and sung so many Christmas Carols at Christmas Fairs, churches and chapels, the Dylan Thomas Centre and Oystermouth Castle and we’ve enjoyed every event and had lots of fun. Now it’s time to have a well earned rest over the festive period.
Next year our children’s choir will celebrate its 60th anniversary and we look forward to enjoying lots of activities, concerts and events to celebrate our special year.
We were delighted to receive a donation of £1,000 from our local councillor, Wendy Lewis, to help fund the many activities and concerts planned for our 60th Anniversary year. This generous donation will help enormously to make next year a special one. We have a children’s choir, Côr Plant Waunarlwydd, and an adult choir with 41 members. I think most of the villagers have probably attended at least one of the choirs over the last 60 years!
We are so grateful to Cllr. Wendy Lewis as this money will also enable us to purchase a portable microphone and amplifier for use at outdoor performances and let us replace our banner that disappeared in storm Darragh as well as helping with the expenditure for our 60th birthday year.
