Our final street food trader is none other than finalist opening up a brand-new street food concept 🎉

Larkin, known for his incredible culinary skills and innovative dishes, is bringing his street food concept, XO, to our vibrant venue. 🌟 With a passion for blending traditional Chinese flavours with a western twist, XO will feature a variety of exciting dishes, including Katsu, noodles, small plates, and the show-stopping Bao Burger! 🍔

Larkin, a proud Welsh chef, has made a name for himself with restaurants such as in Bristol and The Monkey King in Newport. Now, he’s ready to revolutionise the street food scene in Swansea.

“I can’t wait to open in Swansea and be part of the local community. I have an exciting new concept called XO, inspired by the iconic XO sauce from Hong Kong. My hope is that this ethos can inspire our team to produce the best food that they can.”

We were delighted to welcome Leader, Cllr Rob Stewart, along with Cabinet Members and Senior Colleagues, for a tour of the Albert Hall last week! 🎉

The restoration of the landmark Albert Hall would not have been completed without the continued support of Swansea Council and their commitment to urban regeneration.

"It was great to go behind the scenes to see for ourselves the tremendous progress that's being made ahead of their completion and opening. This project will help contribute to our vision for Swansea to become a leading city to work, live, study, enjoy and visit." said Cllr Rob Stewart.

Simon Baston, Director of Loft Co, added: "Loft Co are delighted to be reaching completion of Albert Hall, working with the Welsh Government and Swansea Council all the way. The Albert Hall is a magnificent restoration of an 18th Century palladium, which would not have been completed without the tripartite efforts of all parties concerned including backing from the Development Bank of Wales."

Discover our history - from its grand beginnings to its modern-day transformation…

Albert Hall opened its doors in 1864 as a venue for 2,500 people. It welcomed some of the biggest names of the day from opera stars Adelina Patti to authors like Oscar Wilde and Charles Dickens. Many may remember it as a staple of the Swansea Cinema and Bingo scenes in more recent history before it sadly closed its doors in 2007.
