Gaming Unit 🕹👾🎲

The unit is designed that the children can use what they’d like at their own leisure! Almost like they’re all at a mates house for a play date!
We have a PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Oculas VR headset, Playstation 2 with Buzzer games, Retro arcade machine, Soft tipped dart board, Football table, Lego loft and traditional board games.

Parties are for 10 children (including the birthday children) and a maximum of 4 adults for a duration of an hour and 45 mins. Party food is included (sandwiches, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, cucumber, choc bar, crisps and yoghurt) and a bag of sweets for each child to take home. £230 for upto 10 children

It’s the first time we’ve holidayed in a Motorhome so we were slightly anxious but the advice and guidance we had from Rich and his team made it so easy 🙌🏻

We’d like to invite 16 muggles to join us for wizard school! 🧙‍♀️🧙 This is a magical birthday party you won’t forget!

First job will be to sort them into houses, this can only be done by the sorting hat of course! Once in houses it's time to complete the 'wizard passport'. All muggles will decorate a wizard hat cake in the bakery, design their own wand in the arts and craft room. They will receive a wizard makeover in the boutique room whilst doing the ‘bean’ challenge!! They will then be ready for a photo at platform 9 and 3/4 🚂

They will enjoy some food and drinks before their last challenge of creating a potion 🧪

We will finish by announcing the winners of the house cup 🏆

They will then treated to a face mask and a relaxing foot spa which they will create themselves by selecting their own bath bomb and salts, they will then sit at the table together to make friendship bracelets whilst their favourite songs are playing in the background.

They will then create their own delicious milkshake before finishing with some time to take photos using our selfie props.

20 years to the day that our lives changed forever

Su***de is one of those strange kind of deaths. You don’t get chance to say goodbye, you’re left wondering why you weren’t enough to keep them here and you question why they didn’t reach out when they were at their lowest but at the same time you try to respect the decision they made even though you may never ever understand it.

Mental health is spoken about more openly now than it was 20 years ago when my sister took her own life but I still feel that actions speak louder than words. We can all say ‘it’s ok not to be ok’ but we also need to be there in a physical sense. If you know someone is struggling take them out for a coffee, don’t just send a text pop over and see them. Let them know they’re not alone.

And if you are someone that can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel just hold on ❤️ Every dark day is one day closer to a brighter one. It’s not easy and I will never pretend to understand how bad the bad days are because if I did I’d be able to understand why my sister made the decision she did. But I know first hand how much you’ll be missed and how much you will miss. Never feel embarrassed to reach out. To break the silence is the first and the hardest step.

Kelly herself has missed so much and I know she would be in her element if she was alive right now, my daughter is expecting and so is her daughter and she would have been such a proud nanny 💔 I know she would be getting excited at the thought of us walking our grandbabies together just as we did with our sons 22 years ago 🥹

I always try to go away around this time of year as in a few days it will also be her birthday so it’s always a welcomed distraction and also because she absolutely loved holidays and being laid on the beach …. asleep 😴 🤣 so this year I sat on the beach and reflected, whilst colouring a rock for her and now I’ll leave her in peace again.

Take time to remember you never know what struggles a person is facing and if that smile is masking sadness so always try to chose your words and actions wisely

I’ve been in conversation with some local companies in reference to various collaborations to bring you lots of different choices!

I really don’t want to mention the C word in August 🎅🏽🧑🏻‍🎄🤫 but who would be interested if we did the Art and Craft Christmas advent Calendars again?

If you’ve not heard about these then please read on …

You will receive 24 individual wrapped presents each containing a Christmas art and craft activity for your child to complete. Jingles the Elf will upload a video every morning explaining what the child needs to do. These have always been very popular but take a lot of planning and time to create. (Example video below)

I haven’t got an exact cost yet as I want to see how much interest we have first but I’m guessing they will be approx £40-£45. I will need a £15 at the point of ordering and the balance will be due in November.

The Slumber Party Take Over!

I’m slightly in love with this one as I know my girls would have loved it when they were younger 💖

The birthday child and 7 friends will start by joining us in the pamper room dressed in their PJ’s for foot spas and face masks. They’ll then have the chance to decorate their own sleep mask whilst snacking on nibbles and drinking fizz.

Then it’ll be time to head downstairs for a mini disco and karaoke along with a mocktail or 2 🍹

They will then settle down in their own teepee tent for a movie night with their besties 💖popcorn, sweeties and a midnight snack grazing tray will all be provided. And of course no sleepover is complete without a hot chocolate 😋

And if you want to add on something special for the mummies you can add a ‘mums chat, chill and cake’ package to it! Then you and 7 of your besties can chill in the pamper room with tea and cake whilst we look after the kiddies downstairs!

Keep a look out for our themed Halloween and Christmas packages for this theme! And it doesn’t just have to be for a birthday party! You can simply get a group of friends together and treat the kiddies whilst you catch up with the mummies 💖

PARTY WAREHOUSE PARTIES
All parties are for a duration of 2 hours and for a maximum of 20 children (including the birthday child) unless specified and a minimum of 2 adults and a maximum of 10 are permitted to stay. They are hosted in our disco unit where music will be played throughout the party. All packages include food and drink for the children . Food is a cold buffet of jam, ham or cheese sandwiches, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, cucumber, tomatoes, yoghurt, crisps and a chocolate bar. Ice cream will be served for dessert. Invitations are available to be downloaded and printed from our website. All packages require a £50 deposit. The remaining balance is due in cash on the day of the party or by bank transfer at least 24 hours before.

STANDARD PARTY
This party includes disco & karaoke, fairy cake decorating, arts and crafts, tattoos and a visit to the sweet stall to make a ‘pick n mix' sweet cup.

BAD NEWS TRAVELS FAST …. the experiment!

After the ‘storm in a teacup’ last week I realised quite how fast doom and gloom travels! Now don’t get me wrong I was bloody overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and kindness ❤️❤️ and I truly appreciated it as I was having a bit of a crappy time with closing toddler town etc so it literally lifted my spirits 🥹 thank you to you all ❤️

The post actually had over 32,000 views, to put it into perspective my posts normally hit between 4000 and 5000. So I’d like to see if we can do the same but with a positive vibe!!

So many times I walk out of somewhere and think ‘wow they were bloody brilliant’ but then by the time I get back home I forget to do a review, send them a message etc. but those messages and reviews are lifelines to small businesses

So let’s see if we can spread some positivity around Swindon ❤️

I know a lot of small business owners and I also know that a lot of them are struggling this year. So many of them are making staff cuts etc and they’re generally feeling the weight of the world at the minute.

Am I’m taking it that this is almost an apology from the Swindon Advertiser? 🧐

So let’s put this to rest once and for all ❤️

We all make errors of judgement or mistakes within our jobs and lives (me included) and I’ve made some big ‘boo boos’ at times but what concerned me the most about yesterday’s situation is, what if I was the kind of person that felt intimidated by the original email and I wasn’t strong enough to speak up for my business? (No chance of that though with a name like KAREN 🙄🤣) But joking aside if I hadn’t replied by midday and that story was printed that could have potentially been very damaging 😔

I feel it’s a good time to remind everyone that lots of small businesses (and people) are feeling huge pressures at the moment. It’s a pretty tough world all around. BSS House is full of independent local small businesses. If you look around the car park (remember to register your car first 😜🤣) you won’t see rows of expensive cars that we have bought from our million pound businesses! Lots of us are simply normal people trying to make a living from doing something we love ❤️ We’re still human though so we will make mistakes, we will have bad days and we will have times where we are struggling to hold it all together 🥴 So please next time you are dissatisfied with a company or person please give them the chance to rectify the situation first. If you’re still unhappy with the response then yes take your plight elsewhere. It takes pure blood, sweat and tears for us to build a reputation and one social media post, negative comment or story can wipe out years of hard work. I’m always willing to listen to constructive feedback as I feel that’s how you make the improvements your business needs and if we’ve done something wrong I will always hold my hands up and try to rectify the situation but we need to be given that chance first ❤️
