A few years ago, this picture was shared, and it remains just as relevant today.

Florists often face criticism during week for raising their prices. However, the reality is that our costs have been increasing over the past few weeks, and we do our best to absorb these hikes.

It’s true that flowers from a florist can be more expensive than those from a supermarket, but let’s be honest: you get what you pay for. The roses leaving The Flowerstop at Bridgewater on Valentine’s Day will have a wow factor that no £4 “sweetheart” supermarket roses can match.

We’re admittedly biased, but this image says it all. The rose on the left is two weeks old, perfectly shaped, and beautifully open. The bunch on the right is from my local supermarket.

Our long-stemmed roses are carefully nurtured from the moment the bud forms, handpicked, packaged, delivered by top-quality suppliers, conditioned by our skilled florists, arranged by our designer, and brought to you with love.

We still find ourselves explaining the difference between supermarket flowers and our premium blooms on a regular basis. But the word is spreading, and our flowers speak for themselves.
