Having been going through some serious internal building work, that started with a leaky shower. I’ve decided to give wreath workshops a miss this year. However we will be making to order or you are welcome to get in touch and we can arrange a time for you to pop round and make your own wreath with a little help

The heather wreaths have been popular this weekend. Even more being made.

The loveliest flowers to give are for those you love. Today our eldest daughter graduated from Nottingham. When she comes to visit she helps with a few garden jobs so it was time for the garden to give back to her! Congratulations Lizzy!!

And so today flowers to honour the life of the remarkable lady I was privileged to call my mother in law.
In planning the flowers for her husband’s funeral only a few short weeks ago, conversation turned to what she might like and her favourite flowers, her response ‘oh just a bit of greenery from the garden’ and she loved primroses. So we had buttonholes with rosemary from her tiny garden, primroses from mine and heather her namesake flower. Too unwell to attend Julian’s service, she had a version of his flowers with her at the hospice, that brought her great joy to her last days. Her flowers had to be as prolific as the lives she influenced, all seasonal, sustainably sourced and passed on to those she loved after the service, some going to Mount Edgecombe hospice in Heather’s memory. Her wreath, made with love from her granddaughters will be planted in the garden along with Julian’s and as they flower each spring will remind us of the joy they brought to our lives.
