A huge shout out to Hilary Armour, CEO & team
for a fabulous weekend at their puppy training centre in Alton, Hampshire.
It was fab to have the tour of the newly refurbished puppy training centre converted from a dusty old barn by volunteer ‘Ringers’
Great people, great food, great drinks, great VDubs & great fun.
Well worth the 81/2 hr drive to get there 🤣🚌🐾🐕‍🦺
Can’t wait for our next fundraising event for this fabulous charity.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Kris Hallengar - the founder of Coppafeel.

I was proud & privileged to have been part of Run the Ring 5 when we Ringers raised over £66k for this fabulous charity.

Fundraising for this year’s Run the Ring in aid of Dogs for Autism has now closed 🥲
I’m delighted to report that my target of £1,000 was surpassed by £167.
Particularly to another Ringer, who donated my shortfall of £120 to help me reach my target. 🙏🙏🙏😘 then got some more.
My friend, Mad Max got some £s whilst hanging the charity bucket out of the window whilst in a traffic jam.
Heidi has decided to continue on the naughty kerb & will continue to fundraise until the end of Oct when she’ll be going back to the VDub hospital for some Botox. Ooops 🙄😱
A humongous thank you to my friends, neighbours, the local police - who let me park where I shouldn’t, the villagers, passers by & folks at the various service stations.

Friday 6 October - 14hrs after JustGiving page closed…… Heidi has quite enjoyed being on the naughty kerb & wants to continue her punishment so she’s in credit for future naughtiness. Lovely & interesting day:- - A lovely lady gave me £2 at the local garage inspired by the Guide Dogs for the Blind documentary on TV last night ❤️ - A fab group of road workers emptied their pockets outside the Coop 😘 - An awesome guy I was buying a vacuum off (just for parts as I dropped mine out of the attic- don’t ask), told me to take the vacuum & put the £20 towards #dogsforautism 🙏 - A fun gaggle of ZZ Top loving bikers who were watching me like a hawk parking in Starbucks (in case I ran over their Harley’s), emptied their pockets into the bucket. One didn’t have any money so I surprised him with my PDQ machine (my phone upside down The look on his face was priceless 🙄🙄🤣). Think I pulled 🤣🤣 What a lovely day……..£27.84 raised 🙌

To date, what started as a bit of fun in 2016, has grown into the most amazing fundraising event evvvver! Any VDub, old or new, large or small, take part in this amazing yearly fundraising event & do their bit for little known & underfunded charities. This year the chosen charity was #dogsforautism And boy oh boy does this event raise awareness of the charities chosen. ‘Ringers’ go over & beyond the call of duty to be part of this epic event. They travel from North, South, East & West including our Dutch Ringers who make the arduous journey over the English Channel to drive round the M25 then go home!!!! Ben je kwaad????? The huge cross section of VWs, the effort Ringers go to decorate their VDubs, the bridge wavers & their banners, the knitters, the sewers, the artists, the photographers hanging off pylons & lampposts to capture the perfect shot of nutters enjoying their ride, the DJ’s #vdubradio, their epic tunes, the Paramedic on standby in case someone falls off their clodhoppers, the most amazing people, our awesome sponsor #aplaninsurance, the fabulous charities that most folk have never heard of, where people work tirelessly to help those in need OR Run the Ring aka ‘T***s in VWs holding me up for 10 mins at Cobham services’ according to one Tickity Tock Ticcy Toccer. No matter, there’s always one 🙄 So far, just over £1/4m raised for our previous chosen charities including £3.5k to #plantatreetoday to offset our carbon emissions 🌲 🌳 The announcement of how much we’ve raised for Dogs for Autism will be announced on Saturday 14th October.
