A lovely birthday today - thank you for the messages ~ spent flowering a gorgeous wedding at one of my favourite wedding venues in sunshine then onto opening my first ‘wife card’ which got me a bit giddy

Looking back on our special day and if you zoom in on the second image you can see see my flower team reflections in the windows patiently waiting for us to get out the way so they can hit squad the flowers which is something i know all too well! Quite a special moment captured by whether intentional or unintentional as a florist bride it feels iconic 🤍

This time last month we were deep into packing and loading daily vans of kit, flowers and furniture, all the things you wouldn’t usually do on the run up to your wedding, but we got our version, our way, for one day 🤍

Black or White ~ Our full bridal look for bouquet context. Every detail and design choice was part of a larger story we wanted to tell about who we were as people, we have been waiting for this moment since forever.

I worked with to design my dream dress including bespoke lace and detachable details which came in super handy later, if you attended then I know you know, a story for another day 🤍

Our wonderful community have spoken so voila ~ our very own Bouquet, totally not what you were expecting I’m sure but we actually centred our date around our favourite flower availability and a very specific look and style across all wedding elements to give off a certain feeling.

It was the riskiest flower choice especially for the hottest day day of the year; it pretty much died after an hour but since I was my own client it was worth it just for the short time of holding it and to get to fulfil a bouquet bucket list vision without fear 🤍

Are bridal parties heading for extinction? I hope not! Personally I think we will see a reduction in responsibility and expectations of the bridal party and an increase in mismatched dresses and bouquets, but eliminating altogether? Think about what that would mean for your day - would they still get ready with you? Would they walk down the aisle? If not they would need to leave your bridal suite much earlier, or do you want them to be with you right before you enter the ceremony? Do you want special photos with your best girls and for them to be themed and differentiated from your other guests? At the very least giving them flowers to hold will identify them as your special people 🤍
