Our Summer Activity Camps have now come to an end, but what a fantastic few weeks it has been!
From gymnastics to basketball and everything in between, we’ve been happy to keep our local community of children engaged, active, and social throughout the Summer months.

The Somerset Chamber of Commerce held their August networking breakfast at Taunton School earlier this week with the Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset, Brigadier Nigel Beacom. 🌟
The group spent the morning in our Old Library and enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast made fresh by our catering team. 🥐🍳

Last Thursday we hosted the Webber family as they held an evening in tribute to their beloved son and brother, and former Taunton School student, Barnaby Webber. 🤍
The evening went without a hitch as attendees enjoyed food, entertainment and a jampacked auction, all hosted by Alex Jones of The One Show and BBC’s Thomas Forrester.
Thank you to everyone who came and supported the Webbers, all money raised will go directly to the Barnaby Webber Foundation.

It was lovely to welcome North Town Primary School for their Sports Day on our Uppers sports pitch. ⚽️🏃
“I just wanted to say a massive thank you from the whole of the North Town team for allowing us to use your facilities this morning for our sports day. The children and the community had a wonderful morning, and as the safeguarding lead of the school I felt reassured that the children were in a safe space.”

Throughout July and August, we have activity camps for children aged 4 – 12. Each day there’s a chance to take part in a range of fun activities, dodgeball, swimming, art, cricket, climbing, gymnastics and so much more!

An Evening in Tribute to Barnaby Webber
Join us on Thursday 4th July as the Webber family host an event at Taunton School to remember Barnaby Webber, who tragically lost his life in the Nottingham attacks last year.
The event promises to be an uplifting and celebratory evening with lots to look forward to including entertainment, food and drink, and a lavish charity auction with VIP Coldplay tickets with backstage passes, prestigious sporting events tickets and luxury hotel stays, all hosted by very special guests, BBC’s Alex Jones and Thomas Forrester!

We are sad to announce that the Somerset Comedy Festival have had to cancel a number of their events this summer, including those due to be held at Taunton School.
The organiser, Trish Caller says: “The Somerset Comedy Festival has been a dream of mine for so long. But the reality is these are tough times for people and tickets for some of our bigger events just haven’t sold. I have no option but to cancel them.”

Our coaches and minibuses have arrived freshly adorned with our new branding! 🚌 We're delighted with how they have turned out and we're excited to be able to show off our fantastic new branding around Somerset and beyond! Transport is a very important part of Taunton School, so having our own fleet of coaches and minibuses is crucial for getting our busy students to and from school every day, and to school trips and sports fixtures. Our fleet is also available to hire when not in use. Thanks to PJ Signs for doing a splendid job with your expert wrapping, we can't wait for a further four minibuses to arrive next week and the rest of the fleet to be completed very soon.
