People ask why my cakes are so expensive. It’s just cake after all! This is true, however every single petal is hand piped, time to create this beautiful edible art takes hours. Would you work for under the minimum wage? I think not. Do you ask other skilled people like electricians, plumbers, mechanics etc to do their work for a lower price? This is a skill. Whether I pipe one cupcake or 100 each one takes the same amount of time. I do everything. Let’s not get into the price increase of ingredients, insurance, petrol, electric etc. so my prices are my prices. The prices are on my website. I’m a business and I need to earn a living wage just as you do.
