Hi, I design and build innovative tented structures for the events and wedding market. I thought you might be interested in my latest design.
It is based on a Chinese paper umbrella but is 24 feet in diameter (7.3 metres) and as such can shelter around 60 people. I’m only planning on building a dozen of these by that start of next season and so I’m reaching out to find companies who would like to add one to their portfolio and be one of the first companies to be able to offer one for hire.
The Chinese and Japanese oil paper umbrellas are symbols of good luck and prosperity and traditional at weddings.
I used to have my own yurt hire company and we were constantly asked for open sided structures for drinks receptions which is when I came up with the idea. High hats, Capris and Gazebos never really fitted the bill as they always lacked the wow factor next to the yurts. I think these big umbrellas will have a similarly visually arresting effect as the yurts did, I hope you agree.
The first twelve will also be offered at a heavily discounted rate.
Kind regards
Will Templeman
