The Watson Hall is a popular venue providing various entertainment events, live music and opportunities for leisure and fitness activities. Situated in the heart of Tewkesbury Town Centre with several nearby car parks, the venue is also available to hire for private parties/events/weddings and regular community activities. The Main Hall has a floor area of 144 sq m with a standing capacity of 450

and a seating capacity of 200. It has a wooden sprung dance floor, stage with lighting (tech staff available) and a wireless dual microphone PA system. There is first floor balcony seating (54) available for additional seated capacity. The Tudor Room has a floor area of 13 sq m with standing capacity of 50 and a seating capacity of 40. This room has a licensed, in-house run bar and WiFi enabled speaker system. There is a separate coffee bar area fully equipped for serving light refreshments. "The Courtyard" area (accessible from the main bar and side entrance) has picnic tables/parasols and is available for use when booking. This area can seat approximately 50. The hall has a large kitchen available with cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, plate warmer, crockery and various catering equipment. There are 3 changing rooms on the first floor equipped with mirrors, fridges, sinks and toilets. The hall has public liability insurance for up to £5 million and has licences for alcohol, theatre, film, live music, recorded music and dance. Very excited to share my new performance project: cryyourheartoutcabaret 🎭🌈🌞🌛✨

Our first show: Solstice Songs, is taking place on Friday 20 December at the Watson Hall.

This is a show I’ve wanted to produce for many years and I am over the moon to finally be putting it out into the world 🥹

Cry Your Heart Out Cabaret is a live show of songs and stories, each performance will explore a different idea or season.

This first show is for the turning of the year: the winter solstice, bringing in the longest nights with music, singing, midwinter tales and celestial visuals.

Join us for a unique evening of lo-fi pop, folk, indie and alternative seasonal songs, acknowledging the longest nights of the year.

Solstice Songs is a collaborative project developed alongside my good friend meg_dunford and with live accompaniment from my highly talented friends and favourite musicians Lets Play Guitar Gloucester, olip.guitar and Emily Prankard 🎸🥁🎼

Our Story

It has a wooden sprung dance floor and stage with lighting and voice PA system (Bluetooth compatible) . There is first floor balcony seating available for additional seated capacity. Free wifi is available throughout the hall. The Tudor Room has a floor area of 13 sq m with standing capacity of 50 and a seating capacity of 40. This room has a licensed bar. There is a separate rear entrance available to this room.

There is a coffee bar area that can be used for serving light refreshments or alternatively there is a commercial kitchen that can be hired if required.

Self contained changing rooms upstairs with separate facilities to the downstairs rooms are available if required. The hall is fully accessible and has an accessible toilet. The hall has public liability insurance for up to £5 million and has licences for alcohol, theatre, film, live music, recorded music and dance.
