Thetford The Carnegie & Guildhall Complex
Thetfords First Pride Event!
What a fantastic turn out of people getting together to celebrate the diversity in our community.
Opening with a speech from The Mayor, followed by a ton of performances from local drag artists, a lovely performance from Down Melody Lane who got the crowd singing and an electric performance from Thetford Players Youth.
Meanwhile there was crafts and activities at Ancient House Museum and Thetford Library !
Stalls were open all day in the large court and each stall holder felt so welcome and did very well indeed, some running out of stock as they'd sold out of items!
Then in the evening we went out with a bang with our Jury's Out- Drag Night after party, with live singing, comedy, games, pole dancing, cakes from Puddin and cowboys.

A massive thank you to The Guildhall staff for looking after us so well. Our security guard Tony as well as helpers from Bury St Edmunds pride who stood at the door all day too!
Our amazing volunteers Lucy and Hazel, Jessie, Sue, Maurice from Brandon Pride Kelly, Lee, Caroline and Molly who were beyond helpful, selling raffle tickets, welcoming people, looking after stall holders and performers and doing sound for the artists. A massive thank you to all the local businesses that donated prizes (too many to mention!) but especially to Rose who went and collected them.
To Thetford Town council for being so supportive and Breckland council for printing the programmes.
And of course to everyone who donated on our Just Giving page. Which without we couldn't have put on the event in the way the way it was planned.
This has been an incredible undertaking and I couldn't have done it without every single person in attendance yesterday.
If I've forgotten any one I'm so sorry, just know you are all beautiful.
Never stop being you.
And I spose maybe we'll be back next year?
