🥂🥳🎉Celebrating my 1 year anniversary🎉🥳🥂

As we approach October 1st I’m looking back on one of the biggest turning points in my life!
It was the day I fully committed to my hearts calling.

Every cell in my body was screaming at me to leave behind my day job and pursue this exciting new path and to trust in it beyond all doubt.

I knew to offer out a free gig to as many care homes as possible and that over time it’d take care of itself.
I was absolutely correct!
Singing in care homes has been by far the most rewarding, fun and satisfying work I’ve ever done. It has taken turns I hadn’t expected and lead me to meeting others doing similar work which has also opened new doors.

The band I’m in is also giving our first performance in October after practising together for a year or so. We are all very excited about this and hope to perform more often in the community now that we have a solid playlist under our belt.

I can’t deny that I’m most excited about singing at the Watton Christmas Light switch on, on 30th November.
I remember saying to my daughter, a week or so before I was asked by councillor Sue Dent, that this would be a “pinnacle experience” for me..and blow me down I was then asked to do it! Eeeekkkk 🙏🏻🎄🎅🏻🎤

My first year has gifted me 239 gigs at almost 100 different venues. I’ve got a solid 175 songs under my belt from genres and Eras I’ve never listened to in my life! Country and Western, country rock, 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s. ABBA. Love songs, Wartime, Summer themed, not forgetting Christmas and more playlists to come over time I’m sure!
Phew! What a whirlwind year it’s been! ✨

I’m celebrating an amazing year by taking 2 weeks off in October, I’ve booked myself a photo shoot so I have more photos to offer my clients for advertising and of course I had to book a holiday abroad so that I can rest my vocal cords for a bit and charge them up with some sunshine by the Adriatic Sea. 🌞

I also want to take this opportunity to remind anyone that reads this, it’s NEVER too late to start anew. All that’s needed is belief in yourself, your abilities and the desire to make a difference.
I believe we all have something unique that we can share with others for the greater good.
