Since I met Charlie in November we’ve become “circuit buddies”. (My term for all the local care homes).
Supporting each others very similar endeavours and sending extra work in each others direction. I don’t hesitate to recommend her when I’m asked about other singers too.
Double the joy for Norfolks/Suffolks Care homes. 🥳
I highly recommend her to come and perform at your care home too. A very talented young lady, warm, engaging and so much fun. 🎤💃🏻🕺

Thrilled to be adding musical instruments, colorful scarves, and ribbons to my care home visits! Can’t wait to see the smiles, movement, and joy they’ll bring. Let’s get these on the road! 🎶

Thank you Saxlingham Hall Nursing Home for your hospitality today.
I ended up staying for 2 hours,, had a lovely chat, hot chocolate and a biccy too. 🤍
Activities co-ordinator Jo, Maddie, Lily & Sue (visiting her mum) were a perfect accompaniment to my vocals!
They even gave their dear ladies turns to be “dancing queens” in the centre of the room in their wheel chairs which was such a joy to watch!
What a pleasure it was to visit you all!

What a treat to return to the Dementia cafe at the Boundary pub in Norwich! It was a small group today but my golly did they make up for it with their voices!
There was no denying how much this group loves music!
Brogan, Laura-Lee and their new addition Evie were with me at the helm of the ship encouraging those dance moves too! Thank you ladies.

Lots of smiles, singing and fun at Iceni House, Swaffham this afternoon.
I always enjoy catching up with the lovely Jacky and the dear residents.
The gent you see is one of the many victims of being a “doorway lurker!” Visitors, staff and managers have all found out what happens when they stand in the doorway…. It usually ends with me either taking their hand and leading them into the party or handing them a Pom Pom hehe.
Be warned doorway lurkers!! 🤣🥳

So excited to welcome in 2025!
My diary is looking fantastic with almost 100 gigs booked and we’re still only in January!

This year also brings with it a couple of new little ventures. I have been asked by a local band to join them with a view to collaborating in the community together. (Originally Brecks Jam Club but this will be the “unplugged version!”)

I’m also super excited to be working again with a very dear friend (my vocal coach hehe) Adrian Johnson. He has been such a huge part of my singing journey and I doubt I’d be where I am now without his guidance and wisdom!
I never know exactly where our work together will lead next but I trust him implicitly!
I’m sure there’ll be lots more fun with songwriting, refining skills and getting super creative along the way.
Here’s to the musical journeys ahead! 🥳🎤🎼💃🏻🕺

It was such a pleasure to meet the dear residents of Woodstock Care Home this afternoon! A beautiful afternoon filled with joy and nostalgia. Thank you also to Naomi and Elyse for their assistance with the fun. I look forward to visiting you all again soon.

A visiting relative to a care home once said to me “I really admire you doing this, it’s a thankless job!” She was right, it certainly can be but if you pay attention closely to your audience you’ll often spot smiles, laughter, tears, people connecting with each other beautifully, you can see people forming memories when they hear a song they recognise and those that can like to dance too!
There’s often so much more going on than you realise.

That is where you find your thanks, in those special moments…and the more you seek them out, the more they appear!

Oh my gosh Ian this fills my heart with so much joy!
I did my first ever public gigs with Ian, we met when he used to visit his uncle Len at Dorrington house and we quickly connected over music and singing in fact his first ever words to me were “you sound just like that singer from the Seekers!”
We quickly got to work organising a gig at Dorrington in his Uncles honour as he had recently passed away. We then went on to collaborate at a charity event in Essex which was a lot of fun!
This gave me the courage to do what I do now.
Seeing this today though has really brought home the importance of singing, dancing, connecting through music! Ian really has the fun factor and is so well received!
I think maybe he should change his career…a bit different to being an electrician hey!!!

Another fun time had by all at Holmwood House Residential Care & Nursing Home this afternoon. As usual Denise and Carol enthusiastically encouraged their residents with dancing, singing and moving. It’s always much more fun when everyone gets involved.
Oh and I couldn’t leave without getting my Xmas tree fix..even if we are in January! 🎄🤣

New year celebrations were enjoyed at Brooklands Care Home, Norwich yesterday.
We put on our party hats, shook those pom-poms and as we finished singing Auld Lang syne we all let off party poppers too!

Sometimes life throws a curveball!
I woke yesterday morning with the Flu and have sadly had to cancel gigs at Fairland House Care Home, Woodland Care Home and a 2nd Christmas visit to Oak Manor Nursing Home this weekend.
I have disappointingly had to pull out of the Christmas spectacular that I’ve been organising and greatly looking forward to.
I am thrilled to say though that the absolute star, Charlie of Down Melody Lane has agreed to carry out the whole event for me!
You are in for a right treat! She has fun games lined up and will be singing all of your Christmas favourites! She used to work on a holiday park and is in her element performing and engaging with families and children.
Santa will be there giving out 100gifts and there will be plenty of snacks and drinks provided (GF &Vegan too)
You’re all going to have a wonderful festive afternoon.

Another double disco day today!
Redhouse care home in Thetford held a Christmas party with family and friends, a raffle and a delicious looking buffet! I showed up with the music and the team needed no encouragement whatsoever to put on a wonderful display of festive fun for the dear residents. What an atmosphere!
Oak Manor Nursing Home also enjoyed plenty of Christmas fun and frolics.
Now time to rest these vocal cords. 🥳🤪

Another double whammy today! My first visit to Brandon Park Nursing Home and what a Gem of a place that was!
Nikki, Ruby and the team were huge bundles of energy and fun. Lots of people dancing and singing along, not to mention sleigh bells jingling and Pom poms shaking! They had their own dogs too, Olive and Shelby enjoyed weaving amongst the happy feet around them.
Also went back to St Leonard’s for their third Christmas show. They just can’t get enough of the festivity!! Hehe 🥳🎼🎤🎄🧑‍🎄⛄️
