We've had a lot of couples setting their wedding dates for 2025 and 2026 over the last few weeks.

If you have a set date and month you would like to get married, then book your viewing soon so you can secure your date!

Whilst your ceremony is definitely the most important part of your day; what follows is a great party, and that starts with a good bar! 🥂

At Thirsk Lodge Barns, we manage two fully stocked and staffed bars, to ensure your guests are served in record time.

We recommend pre-ordering drinks for your guests, usually for during your drinks reception and wedding breakfast and to toast the speeches!

We have a carefully curated wine list to choose from, or if cocktails are your tipple of choice, our talented bar team can mix a variety of fan favourites. Just look at these delicious Mojitos from a recent drinks reception!

Are you newly engaged and looking for your dream wedding venue? Please get in touch so we can get you booked in for a private show around as spaces are limited and filling fast! 🤍

We love nothing more than welcoming everyone into the venue, and understand that after you have set your date you can’t wait to bring your closest family and friends to look around – we are so excited for you too! 🥂

However, as we are currently in our busiest period of the year, we do need to reserve weekend and evening visits to those that have not yet viewed the venue, or those that are getting married in the very near future. Thank you so much for understanding! 🫶

Here come the boys! 😎

Z and T's wedding morning was full of good vibes, with T and his groomsmen enjoying each others company in the Farmhouse garden whilst Z and her girls got ready in the Cottage.

If you need additional accommodation or space to get ready, then we have Woodhill Grange, an additional newly renovated farmhouse, just half a mile from the venue. More information can be found on our website!

Imagine saying 'I Do' right here! 😍

Whilst we love every bit of a wedding day, your ceremony is undoubtedly the most important part!

To ensure it goes smoothly, we like to do a rehearsal of the bridal party entrance the day before your wedding, to practice timings with the music, make sure everyone knows where to go, and settle any nerves before the big moment.

Our Main Barn 🤍

This space is stunning for Ceremonies, and is then transformed for your Evening Reception.

Whilst you and your guests are enjoying your Wedding Breakfast in our separate Dining Room, our team set up three round tables at the back of the Main Barn and welcome in your band or DJ ready for the evening.

We also move flowers and decor from once space to another to get as much from them as possible, and ensure that your theme continues throughout the day!

It looks like we are finally getting a break in the rain, so we can spend a little more time in our beautiful grounds 🙌

One of the gorgeous rooms in our spacious Farmhouse. We have accommodation on site to sleep 11. The Farmhouse has 4 double rooms and a single and the neighbouring Laundry Cottage has a double room, usually acting as our bridal suite.

If you are looking for more accommodation, Woodhill Grange is now available for all wedding bookings. Sleeping another 8 guests and only half a mile from the venue it is perfect for one half of the bridal party, family or friends.

We are seeing an increase in the number of couples choosing to have a sweetheart table. A sweetheart table provides an intimate alternative to a traditional top table, allowing you to spend some time together as newlyweds to take in your day!

D & E managed to pull their gorgeous day together in just 5 months, proving that it is possible for those that don't want to wait to tie the knot!

They did all the decor themselves, and it was a heartfelt and emotional day.

Having a separate Dining Room is such a huge benefit. Not only does it mean that we don't have to turn the Ceremony room around for your Wedding Breakfast, it also means you can come in the day before and get it looking exactly how you have always imagined.

With the British weather changing from sunshine to rain often multiple times in one day at the moment, it really highlights the importance of choosing a venue that works well no matter what the weather!

Whilst a glorious, sunny day is what most couples dream of; weddings at Thirsk Lodge Barns do not rely on good weather...

1. We have plenty of indoor space so guests can stay comfortable inside for the duration of your wedding, and the interconnected spaces mean the day flows naturally.

2. Our separate Dining Room enables us to set up your tables in advance, meaning we do not have to turn around the Ceremony Barn for your wedding breakfast avoiding a 'holding pen' style feel to your day.

3. The floor to ceiling windows throughout the venue let in lots of natural light. This is so important for your photos, and also gives views of the gorgeous surroundings without the need to venture outside.

4. There are plenty of opportunities for indoor photos. Group shots look gorgeous in front of our wall of Fairy Lights, and if it chooses to rain during your ceremony then we can do your confetti throw as you come back down the aisle.

5. Our courtyard stables provide covered outdoor seating with heaters for those that fancy a bit of fresh air!

The lovely S & A had rain on their day, but it certainly didn't dampen their spirits and they managed to get outside during a break in the rain for a few golden hour shots 😍
