Just had the most wonderful meeting with clients Adele & Wayne who have chosen me to officiate their wedding in August 2025 at the Crab & Lobster ☺️ the absolute best part of the job is meeting beautiful clients like these and getting to hear all about their beautiful lives together 🥰 normally an hour or so long, our meet and greet session lasted three hours meeting at the Golden Fleece Hotel in my local town Thirsk and felt like we’d known each other for years 🤗

A fabulous and beautiful Yorkshire Wedding Ceremony for John & Michelle last weekend. What a fantastic opportunity to host their wedding on top of Sutton Bank looking down to the magnificent Lake Gormire below. I was truly honoured to have had this experience and although pretty windy on the day, the sun shone and opened up the vale of York below us. Many congratulations John & Michelle and to your wonderful family.

This Saturday I will be standing at this very spot looking over to the mysterious Lake Gormire, As a wedding celebrant conducting a very special wedding for a fabulous and loving couple John Ashby and Michelle Ismay 💕 I am honoured they have put their trust in me to officiate their wedding and I’m so excited to be joined by so many wonderful family and friends ☺️ many from here in Thirsk😊

Hopefully, the weather is kind as it promises to be a beautiful ceremony complete with a beautiful wedding arch and decorations, and celebratory drinks afterwards.

The first of several ceremonies to come in 2024 and more are being booked for 2025 ☺️

If you're familiar with the term 'Ghosted' then you'll know all too well how it feels.

This is a sad reality of today's society, and has become the 'Norm', not only is it now expected, but it is also accepted.

How, why and when, did this start? since when have common decency and manners, been replaced with downright ignorance, rudeness and disrespect?

I find this absolutely insulting, and beyond rude, that people do not consider it important or think it right, to take just one minute to reply, respond, or acknowledge in some way, to let the company or person in question know, that either they no longer wish to employ their services, or buy thier products, instead of just absolutely stopping all further communication, leaving the vendor, not knowing if, when, how, who, what and so on.

This is the hardest thing for me to apparantley have to 'expect' when having a business, but I do not 'accept' it in any shape or form.

PLEASE, if you are asking for information or a quote maybe, from a business, PLEASE don't communicate, reply, respond, whatever, because, in all honesty, there is a human being at the end, with all sorts of emotional feelings, worries, anxieties, or maybe even not, that is left thinking and asking, Why? What did I say?, What was wrong?, Did I offend or upset them? and many more unanswered.

It is especially hurtful when starting out, being new on the block, trying to establish a presence, and a reputation, and drumming up some business, because not knowing why someone suddenly stops communicating, hurts more than them saying, thanks but no thanks.

If you are one of these people, who think it is acceptable and normal for you to not reply or respond after you have enquired or asked a question, then I'd be grateful if you didn't and took your business elsewhere.

Please do the right thing, let's bring back common decency and respect. It's not nice, it's not polite and it's not acceptable.

A bit late I know, but I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the lovely couples, friends, and family, who took the time to come to my stand at the Ripon Cathedral Wedding Fayre last Saturday.

It was great to see so much interest, and although still a long way to go I feel, it was great to meet those of you who are aware of Celebrants and know the huge benefit we have, with crafting and creating the most special, personal, romantic and precious wedding ceremony script you could ever wish for, that you simply DO NOT get with a Registrar ceremony.
