I play the Baritone in Harrogate Brass Band, the very same band I’ve played in for over half of my life, so I do love some live music at a wedding! 🎶 I’m also a big lover of Netball. 🏐

Mine’s been filled with festive goodness - putting the tree up with my baby for the first time, wreath making workshop, packaging up some Christmas Cards (I still have some for sale if you need some - message me!) followed by a lovely Sunday lunch out today at a friends!

After taking things a little slower to grow a real life human being, then jumping straight back into weddings with an 11 week old! 👶🏻

Mother of the Bride….⁣
This is more of a personal post, but I wanted to send out some huge appreciation for this amazing lady.

She’s behind the scenes at , helping with child care and dog care meaning I can go out to all my beautiful weddings and enjoy meetings in peace….oh she helps with my all important tax return!

There’s no way I could run my business without her - so thanks Mum! 😘

Who else loves a canapé? 🙋🏽‍♀️⁣
But are they needed? A big fat yes!

Depending on your timeline, weddings often take place around lunchtime with the meal (also known as the wedding breakfast) not happening till late afternoon.

Canapés are that perfect nibble for guests to enjoy following the ceremony, putting them on till the meal especially if they haven’t had lunch. You don’t want tummies rumbling in the speeches, or worse… guests drinking on an empty stomach!

Plus…who doesn’t love food in bite size form?!?

Since the beginning of October, I’ve chatted with two separate Brides on different occasion, who recently had DIY / Home Weddings. ⁣
Both of them said this ⬇️

They spent all of their wedding days trying to make sure guests were in the right place at the right time, making sure people had drinks or food and generally hosting the day rather than enjoying their day!

It was a day of pumpkins, harvest moon, autumn leaves and leaf shaped confetti for K&S last month🍂

Speeches...⁣
In my Wedding Planning Sessions, I often get asked 'When should we do speeches?'

🍽️ Think about those who are making speeches - will they want to eat if they're nervous or are they best doing their speech before the food so that they can enjoy the delicious meal you've bought for them?

⏰Try and keep speeches to maximum 30 minutes! Any longer and guests start getting antsy.

✖️ Try and avoid having them between courses - it can be difficult for your catering team to nail cooking times if you have speeches during the service.

I remember the exact moment this photo was taken! 😍⁣
I’d gone to collect the Bride from her room to take her to the wedding ceremony.

We had a spare few moments so E took a couple of seconds to gaze out of the window on our way and captured it perfectly 😍

Just those special few moments before you go from Miss to Mrs, to calm any nerves (not that there were any!) and take a second before an amazing day ahead.
