Santa Claus is coming to town! 🎅🏻

I loved decorating this cute grotto at 🎄
It’s open this weekend with the Elf School right next door!
is also on this weekend with lots of amazing local businesses selling Christmas treats and goodies.

This is the last weekend to grab your cemetery wreaths. I’m open today, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 am. to 3 p.m.
I have lots made up and ready to go—once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Thank you to everyone for keeping me so busy this festive season. I think I’ve made well over 500 wreaths, so I’m looking forward to a break (and so are my hands! 😂)

Our Christmas Market runs this weekend, the 21st/22nd Dec, 10am to 4pm both days
You’ll find seasonal produce, food and drinks, fruit and veg, as well as arts, crafts, artisan goods, Christmas treats and gifts, Christmas wreaths and dog treats too
Affinity Sterling Mills have a free Santa’s Grotto for the kids.
Each child will get the chance to speak to Santa, share their Christmas wishes and receive a gift
Don’t forget to bring your letters for Santa and post them in the North Pole postbox
And the Grotto is also dog friendly so please bring your furry friends along
Don’t forget to bring the kids along to the Free Elf School too
The whole site is wheelchair accessible, child and pet friendly, and car parking is free too
Along with big brands at the Outlet Village, it’s the perfect, stress free place for last minute Christmas shopping

I’ve been so busy the last few weeks that my social media has taken a back seat, and I haven’t posted anything! Sorry guys!
I’m open today from 10–3 pm and next weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 10-3pm

I’ve been so busy behind the scenes I’ve barely had a minute to post 😅

Here is a small selection of the wreaths I have available at this weekends pop up shop at Affinity Sterling Mills Outlet Shopping Saturday and Sunday 10-4pm.
I’ve barely started on the fresh wreaths so there will be so much more to choose from.

I only have 1 or 2 of each artificial design so if you would like one let me know asap!

Calla lilies 🕊️ It’s been a while since I made an all calla bouquet. Sometimes the most simple designs can be the most time consuming. Callas can be tricky to work with due to the shape of the head. I find wiring them definitely helps keep them in the position you want. How I make a simple thistle buttonhole ✨ I like to make buttonholes the traditional way, wired and taped. 🌸 Freelancing 🌸 In between my own weddings I also do freelance work with other florists over Scotland. 🌸Are you a florist who HATES making corsages? 🌼Do you find they can be more fiddly and time consuming than some of the larger arrangements? 🌷 Well here’s how I make mine in under 5 minutes!! 👇🏻 Now before I start these are by no means the most extravagant corsages but after years of trying different techniques this is by far the quickest and easiest way. 😊 1 - Make 2 double bows and attach to one another. This will be the base. I know not everyone is a fan of ribbon but this step is important! You will see why soon 😉 2 - Glue the bows to the plastic base on the bracelet then turn upside down to dry, top tip - this stops any glue dripping down onto the bracelet. 3 - Glue on the foliage first. I find ruscus, Parvi or mini Pitto works best. 4 - Then add the flowers. I always use smaller headed flowers as it makes them lighter and more comfortable to wear. Spray roses are my go to as they come in most colours. (Remember to remove any bad petals.) I find using larger flowers makes them too heavy, they bruise easier and end up looking dead before you’ve even sat down for your dinner! 5 - This is where that ribbon base comes in. For extra security use small headed pins and pin through the ribbon loop and into the flowers making sure it doesn’t pop out the other side and it ends inside the flower opposite. Then there is 0 chance of any flowers falling off. I know the traditional technique is fully wiring but I find this way much better.
