It's a busy summer in the gardens. The weekend before the ballet, 20th July, we will welcome to perform that most magical of plays, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Bring a chair, a rug, a picnic and settle in to watch the players set the scene. Outdoor theatre is great fun and our gardens are the perfect backdrop.

This year will mark 15 years of Ballet Under the Stars at Hatch. It's going to be a year of amazing and celebratory firsts including the announcement that The Balanchine Trust have granted permission for a performance of the sublime pas de deux from George Balanchine's Diamonds. It will be performed by Xander Parish who last danced at Hatch in 2022 and Kateryna Chebykina. Xander is Principal with the Norwegian National Ballet and Kateryna Principal with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. They've performed this work together before, we can't wait to see them dance it at Hatch. It's such a huge privilege on every level.

Xander says: "Dancing Balanchine is one of the greatest pleasures a classical dancer can have- the shapes, patterns and musicality are so perfect that one truly can "see the music". Diamonds is a personal favourite of mine and is especially close to my heart as it was Balanchine's homage to St Petersburg and the Mariinsky Theatre where he trained before leaving Russia 100 years ago and where I had the privilege of learning Diamonds myself."

Hatch hosts two very different events each year. The Open Garden in aid of Salisbury Hospice has raised many £1,000s over the years and is a popular family event. The vintage clothes tent especially is a huge draw. Then something totally different, a weekend of relaxation and de-stressing at the Verve Festival. We've reached the Muddy Awards 2024 regional finals for Best Event Venue so if you'd like to vote the link is in our bio, deadline is 1pm 18th April. Thank you x

Hatch has been nominated in the Best Event Venue category in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2024 for - lots happens at Hatch during the year from weddings to ballet to relaxation and our renowned Open Garden in aid of which raises thousands every year.

We love being able to share photographs from Hatch weddings. Emma and Dan got married in the garden this summer in glorious sunshine. It was fantastic to hear their guests were "blown away by the serene beauty of Hatch".

The media partner of the ballet for the best part of a decade now is the iconic who have been an incredible support and it's a wonderful collaboration. Hatch House itself has been featured several times over the decades and now the ballet is very much part of the season in our beautiful gardens and has appeared in several of this summer's issues.
