☔RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!☔The weather is one of the things that you can't control about your wedding day...but the key is to be prepared and stay positive! We are very lucky and have not had many weddings where rain has made an appearance but when it has our Plan B kicks into action - we have gazebos that we can install very quickly so that you can still use the courtyard for reception drinks and the terrace at the rear of the barn later in the day. There is also a canopy so you don't get wet on the way to the toilet!

Thankfully rain never lasts all day and we always have in mind how we can switch things around if needs be when the sunshine returns.

On a positive note there are many theories and cultures that suggest rain symbolises good luck, plus umbrellas make a great prop for photos!

🤍END OF SEASON!🤍Last weekend was our final wedding of the 2024 season and what an amazing year of weddings it has been!

THANK YOU to all of our couples for choosing Valleyside Barn as your wedding venue and putting your faith in us! Being part of a couples history on one of the most memorable days of their lives is a privilege. We are very fortunate to witness and be involved in such a happy event and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all of our couples and their family and friends.

Also a SHOUT OUT to all the wedding suppliers that have visited Valleyside Barn this year - it has been great working with you all and we hope to work with many of you again next year and beyond!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our Valleyside Team who make sure the wedding prep and day runs so smoothly. ❤️💚💙

We are looking forward to a slightly slower pace over the next few months before we start all over again next Spring!

♣️LAS VEGAS MEETS MET GALA🎲This was the theme for Carrie & Mikey's HAPPILY EVER AFTER PARTY! They got married in Vegas in October 2022 and a year later celebrated with all their family and friends at Valleyside Barn. It was so much fun...
🍹 His and Hers cocktails for the Welcome drink - Peach Bellini or Rum Punch
🎲 Roulette and Black Jack tables really brought the Vegas theme to life - there was even a cardboard cut out of Elvis!
🛋 A F.R.I.E.N.D.S style sofa provided a perfect place for group shots and selfies
🎧 A silent disco - hilarious to watch and a hit with guests!
🍕 Pizza - who doesn't like pizza?!

"We stumbled across Valleyside by accident while staying locally for a friend’s wedding and feel so, so lucky we did. We’re absolutely thrilled we chose to have our summer wedding there: beautiful location, brilliant hosts and excellent facilities. Emma and Matt have picked a glorious spot - everyone remarked on how splendid, green and peaceful the surroundings were - and then furnished it with everything you’d want for a wedding. The prep kitchen was a hit with the caterers, the barn was lovely and airy, you’ve the courtyard for the reception drinks, everything is easily accessible for suppliers (and, indeed, the venue is really easy to reach from both Exeter and Tiverton Parkway for your guests) and the honeymoon suite is really comfortable and spacious (crucial for those getting ready with a few too many bridesmaids!). As an event overseer, Emma is excellent: incredibly details-focussed, very calm and just a nice person to boot. She and Matt were such wonderful hosts & did everything they could to make it a perfect day for us (down to the ordering of the chairs, Matt!) - we can’t thank them enough, we had the best day ever - no stress, just huge fun."
