Turning Tonbridge Pink fundraiser for Breast Cancer Now 💕
The amazing ladies from @turningtonbridgepink raised over £2,000 for @breastcancernow on Sunday.
This incredible amount was raised by hosting an afternoon tea here at Oak Tree Barn. The gorgeous crockery and welcome sign was by the lovely team at @events_and_parteas. The amazing pink balloon display was by the very talented @clareginge77.
The barn was transformed into a pink paradise! The table names, tasty cakes and amazing balloon display certainly got us all talking but even more importantly so, it got us talking about breast cancer..
1 in 7 women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Which is why events like this, are so important. Not only making it possible to donate to @breastcancernow, allowing them to continue everything they do, it gets the ‘check your breasts’ conversation flowing.
Breast cancer survival is improving and has doubled in the past 50 years in the UK due to a combination of improvements in treatment and care, earlier detection through screening and a focus on targets, including faster diagnosis.
An estimated 600,000 people are alive in the UK after a diagnosis of breast cancer. This is predicted to rise to 1.2 million in 2030.
It’s fundraisers like this that help with the statistics above. The incredible donations help the charity keep up with their research and support, it also raises awareness! So, let’s keep that conversation flowing!

Last weekend K&C decided on having @paulmalsommusic during this time. Paul kept the uplifting atmosphere going whilst their guests mingled before heading down to the wedding breakfast a couple of hours later 🥂
